That made me laugh! He did manage to move forward as he kneeled to minimize the loss of yardage most of the time.

Yeah, that is kinda funny. I don't know where some of these beat reporters are coming up with this stuff.

When I think of Cult figures in Packers history, it's Henderson or Kuhn, or "Frankie Baggadonuts" or "Old Bag of Donuts."

Not a backup QB that nobody was real excited about. I think people have been more excited about Hundley, Kizer, Callahan and Hill than they were about Boyle. He was just kinda solid and kinda boring.

But I guess just tweeting, "Lions sign former Packers backup QB," doesn't get as many hits or likes as "cult figure."

Detroit adding Boyle doesn't make sense. They've got Chase Daniel as the veteran backup, unless they figure to cut him. But you'd think the #3 spot would be best reserved for a 6th- or 7th-round guy who at least has a small chance of turning into something. Boyle is what he is and that's not really changing. Plus why pay for Boyle when a rookie would be cheaper?

Apparently, the Bears' Super Bowl odds got worse after they signed Dalton.

This might be a stealth tank move.

Funny news today that the Bears may need to part with CB Kyle Fuller for contract/cap reasons. Funny in that the Packers were the ones that signed him to an offer sheet, requiring the Bears to match the contract. There were a lot of people that thought the Packers signed him to a deal that was too friendly and allowed the Bears an easy decision to match it.

And in the end, the way the Packers structured it may result in the Bears needing to cut him. Circle of salary cap life, apparently.

I find it doubly funny that signing Dalton is at least one reason for the need to cut Fuller.

Deshaun Watson up to 3 sexual assault allegations:

I usually give folks the benefit of the doubt after one accusation, but it’s not a good look when they start stacking up. I wonder if the Texans are starting to regret not selling high on him?

I'm not really going to count them as 3 until I hear something new. So far it sounds like it's one REAL big dirtbag lawyer and one massage parlor where this is all originating from.

Not saying he's guilty or innocent...but I find it a bit suspicious. He did these things to 6 different women after he was given a massage, each time at the same place, this clown of a lawyer tries to get a big settlement out of him, then he speaks out and within 3 days there are 5 more women who are all claiming the same thing happened? Just the claim that he did it 6 times...and they kept welcoming him back?

The story just sounds weird. And the lawyer being friends with the McNair family is fueling speculation that they're somehow involved...which doesn't make any sense to my mind, but none of this does so far.

Well, if he signed the veterans minimum, I'm not actually sure it would be cheaper. I think you can sign for ~2.5 million and it counts just 900K or so against the cap(rough numbers).

And I really don't know what he is. He never played. He has a pretty big arm, he seemed at least somewhat mobile. If he's smart and can learn the offense, he might be a guy who is a good backup who can start a few games and keep you afloat. And maybe the Lions think he can be even more than that.

I don't think he's destined to be a star in the NFL, but he seemed more than capable of being a good backup.

NFL just signed a $110 billion media rights deal. $10B a year for 11 years.

Thursday Night Football moves exclusively to Amazon Prime

He has to be looking at a lengthy suspension at minimum no matter what happens with this right? No team is going to be trading for him anytime soon and he's said he'll never play for the Texans again.

According to this story, Watson reached out to the first accuser on Instagram to request a massage ... because that is how normal people schedule appointments* (sarc):

From what I can tell, prior TV rights including Direct TV were a little over $7B/year.

Maybe Russ Ball knew what he was doing by pushing a bunch of cap space to next season.

Maybe this is all a ruse put together by Watson to get out of Houston.

Is it plausible if not likely that the Lions are doing this (and Williams) to obtain intel on the Packers' offensive scheme?

It's certainly plausible, especially the Boyle signing. Vikings used to do this for years, so it's very possible.

That sounds much worse than I was expecting actually. If he were not a big name QB, he'd never play in the NFL again.

The ones that come to your house they do. The one I got over the weekend I did it over Instagram. Though the one I ordered she is a private masseuse and doesn't work for a company well she has her own company but no website or anything like that. She operates completely on Instagram and Twitter. Yes I know how this sounds.

I also got my last haircut from someone from Instagram.

I mean...obviously nobody really knows, but I kinda doubt he's facing a suspension based on the information known right now.

Watson could have made this go away for a relatively small settlement for him.

The Lawyer that's behind it is pretty shady and the fact that it started as a civil matter and the Cops weren't involved...it obviously doesn't mean he can't be guilty, but it's just unfoled really strangely and I think it'd set an real bad precedent to suspend him at this point.

It would be such a Texans thing to refuse to trade him for a haul and end up having to cut him for nothing because of a major scandal.

Yeah, this would elevate them into Browns type territory in terms of dysfunction. Right now it's just a really bad few years, this could take it to the next level.

Even if this just goes away, this is just bad for the Texans. A friend of the McNairs and a Texans Superfan(he had billboards put up all over Texas begging the Texans to draft Manziel back in 2014) and he's not representing women suing the face of the franchise...who has said he will never play another game for them.

The theories on Twitter are going nuts. They're actually kinda funny. The theories that the McNair family is behind this to teach him a lesson or so he'll stop demanding a trade. I don't know, I guess it's possible...but people generally don't get rich by devaluing an asset like Watson.

It's up to 12 women now. Lawyer representing them says he has heard from 10 others.

What is up with this depressed WR market? 8M on a 1 year deal for JuJu? I bet Allen Robinson and Chris Godwin are glad they signed that franchise tag. Must have seen the writing on the wall. No way Golladay gets that 18.5M a year he wants.

Really does make you wonder what a guy like Golden Tate (I know, I know) would get. It would seem like a guy like him would do well with Rodgers getting him the ball.

Heck, why not Kenny Golladay?

I know more than Tate, obviously, but if you can get a guy like that for around 1/10 in this weird market...

I wish we were in a little better position to spend. There are going to be so many market inefficiencies to take advantage of on 1 year deals.

I'd hope if they could get Golladay for 1/$10M, they'd go do another extension or something to find the $10M. I know they are working to prevent too much getting dumped into future years, but wow, that'd be a big win.
