I keep hearing that the Bears defense will keep them in contention for the NFC North title. I'm not seeing it tonight. Broken coverages, shoddy tackling....this is the worst I've seen a Bears defense play in quite a while.

The influence of Mike Pettine in making them terrible cannot be underestimated!

Just gave a quick look at the schedules. The NFC west gets the NfC north and AFC south this year. The 4th place team may go 10-7. Could that sneak in and get the 7th playoff spot? The Rams have the toughest schedule and I know they'll beat up on each other a bit, but barring injuries that division is going to be tough.

LOL Raiders.

Well guess it ended being LOL Ravens.

While the end of the 4th was awesome and OT was a ride. I really hate it when teams play for the FG and leave to much time on the clock. If you are going for the win one field goal you should try and get the time under 20 seconds if at all possible.

The Ravens out Raidered the Raiders

I know the replay is going to get a lot of flack, and it was a terrible call on the field, but I don't think by rule they could fix it. I'm thinking he was ruled down on the initial fall to the ground, and since the whistle was blown for that, they can't give him the extra yards on the lunge. They were only able to look at if the initial fall made the first down, which was close but I think short.

What I will give them flack for is just saying, not publicly, hey we screwed this up and since it's really close anyway we will just say he made the first down on the initial fall. Didn't hurt washington so at least there's that for their fans.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Tony Romo would be a decent color guy if he didn’t have to over commentate dumb stuff. Every time the officials pause a play the dude insists on giving a play by play on the dumbest fake conversations between the refs.

Yea, he provides some great insight at times, but over talks quite regularly.

How does Kansas City ever lose a football game? That entire offense is a cheat code. I know intellectually that they have playmakers at every level, but since I don't watch them very often, every time I actually see them live it is a revelation.

Then I remember that half the organization seems to have checkered pasts, to put it charitably, and I would never want Green Bay to make Reed's Faustian bargain, but I would be lying if I didn't sigh inside a little.

ANSWER: KC can lose when Lamar Jackson runs wild for an entire half, and KC puts the ball on the turf late.

Kyler Murray still doesn't impress me. They guy put up 400 yards and 3TDs, but it just seems like empty numbers to me. I've not seen him play often - small sample warning of course - but he just never seems impressive to me. Certainly couldn't do anything clutch with the game on his shoulders yesterday. Kind of backed into a win.

Kyler just knew that when you play the Vikings all he had to do was be up less than three at the end of the game.

How is that even possible for a team that only won 7 games last season with a roster full of holes? Hell, 8 of those picks were either OL, front 7 defenders, or DBs - at positions that commonly at least give a few snaps on a rotation to stay fresh or in dime coverage packages.

Spielman has to have a pile of Wilf skeletons stashed in storage unit somewhere out here...
