I think this bleeds into the 'why would you trade for a guy like Carr in return' discussion- with that number as the 2022 cap and not something higher, they're in a bit of trouble. Hence, you trade for a guy like Carr to make one more run in 2021 and hope that the cap doesn't cause a 2022-23 pull back, and if it does, you do it with a cheap Love as QB. But 2021 may be your last short-term chance for a run.

I'm guessing this is a normal thing the NFL does, but if feels weird to me to do something like that this early. Though I'm guessing GMs like it to give them some idea what next year's budget will look like.

Bears dump 2018 2nd round pick WR Anthony Miller to the Texans for reportedly an exchange of late round picks in the 2022 draft. The Bears traded a 4th round pick to move up five spots in the 2nd round to draft Miller.

Wasn't this a move Packer fans were using in complaint of how the Packers were drafting? Another WR we passed on and seeing how the Bears were aggressive in getting a WR?

Watching the pats/wash game, 2 minutes left washington going for 2 to tie, a throw into the endzone at the sideline is caught, the receiver has one foot down drags a toe, falls to both knees and then as his body is falling to the ground the defender punches the ball out. Ruled a catch, but overturned on replay.

I have no clue what the rule is anymore, but they got this wrong even if they "didnt". I thought they had simplified some this stuff and took out some of the stricter part of the rules. Even the announcers were confused, thinking you "don't have to survive the ground anymore".

I hope this isn't another year of what is a catch.

Things like the catch rule kind of lead you back to thinking the best call is whatever call is made on the field and just to leave it at that unless a guy is clearly out of bounds or something. It just really seems to be a judgement call more than anything much like an offensive holding penalty or defensive pass interference. Replay review seems to do more harm than good.

Tim Tebow was cut today. Our long national nightmare has ended.

Looks like Mike Daniels and HaHa Clinton-Dix were both released in cut downs. And seeing how both have played after the Packers, it would seem like we made the right choice at the right time.

Damarious Randall as well. Wonder if he'll blame that cut on Mike McCarthy somehow....

Letting Daniels go seemed stunning at the time, but in the end they made the right decision at the right time, as you noted, and as they usually do.

Packers front office tends to take a lot of heat for being really good at their jobs. The team has won so much over the past 20 years its almost like most fans & media view it as a given despite the front office, not because of them.

Not sure there is another front office in sports that gets criticized as much as they do, while also having the success that they do

So Dak is on pace to throw 64 passes and Zeke is on pace for 8 carries. Yep, that's a Mike McCarthy offense alright. I pity the sucker that drafted Zeke in their fantasy league.

I drafted Dak and Cooper in a dynasty superflex startup. Not regretting that yet.
