Packer 2021 Draft Discussion- Eric Stokes, CB, Georgia; Round 2 Josh Myers, C, Ohio State; 3: Amari Rodgers, WR, Clemson

One gone...

Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech

Greg Newsome, CB, Northwestern

Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame

After that, it was Elijah Moore, WR, Ole Miss.

You could probably add Darrisaw and Bateman, IMO.

I had some mixed feelings about Bateman. I've seen him more mocked in the 2nd round than the 1st.

I like Bateman because I know he can play in the cold. But I have zero issue if the Packers like Moore er, more.

I dunno why anyone lets themselves be upset with the pick. I've never quite understood it unless it's like a backup QB or kicker or something. The rest are total crapshoots. Nobody knows who will pan out and who won't, or how quickly a position you think is well stocked becomes one of need.

I'd be fine with an OL, DL, WR, basically anything.

We're likely to get someone interesting. Everyone has their pet picks - so it's just sort of fun to see who actually gets picked.

To me, the biggest 'egad' thing is picking a guy way early who was likely to be there a round later. I think the Packers fell for that last year with Dillon and Deguara. Perhaps the team knew someone else would take those guys - but they seems reaches in the 2nd and 3rd (albeit, late in each round).

This is looking like a real good draft for NFCN teams.

The Bears get a guy who could be their QB, the Lions get a franchise tackle...and the Vikings may have finally addressed that LT position.

It's shocking. I was thinking he'd be someone we might consider in the 2nd round. He seems to be a guard in the NFL, not a tackle, but...if it leaves Darrisaw on the board a little longer...

I'm surprised Darrisaw is still there. I never had him on my list as I never expected him to get near us.

Packers would almost certainly need to move up past Minny to get him. No way they can let him get past them.

He's easily my top choice, but it's probably a bit of a reach.

u nailed it.

Off field concerns for Darrisaw.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Moore would give them a different look than what they have now and different skillset, but I think Bateman looks more like a #1 WR and he has the route-running skills that normally get himself open. I didn't see many mocks that had him get to the Packers (though I didn't see tons of them). Seems like only lately he was falling to the Packers range.

I kinda hope GB trades down because that would cause much chaos
