Packer 2021 Draft Discussion- Eric Stokes, CB, Georgia; Round 2 Josh Myers, C, Ohio State; 3: Amari Rodgers, WR, Clemson

I think this MAY work out better than needlessly trading up one spot to draft Trubisky, but man, how much better would the Bears be if they had just kept some of the GOBS of draft picks they've traded away the past five years?

Not concnered. Pace can't build a winner trading away so many picks.

He's the worst GM for the Bears. He is making moves simply to keep his job. He might get a few more years, but the Lions could very likely be in the Super Bowl before the Bears.

So Dalton is no longer QB1?

Dalton will still be QB1 and lol Fields it is like Trubisky never left. Though I don't think Dalton will last all that long behind the Bears offensive line.

Fields is a bad QB who played for a nationally ranked team that got a lot of hype. He isn't a very accurate QB and he tends to get away with things due to his athleticism. While he did complete a large percentage of his passes in college the same passes he threw in college would go for interceptions or get knocked down in the NFL. He is horrible at anticipating the defense and relies more on his athleticism than his eyes to avoid a blitz.

He also telegraphs where he is going to throw the ball which in college you can get away with as you don't have a bunch of super athletic linebackers and cornerbacks. A lot of times he was going up against CB3's and backup safeties in the NFL and I am not even sure that is accurate. The best defensive team he played against in Clemson absolutely destroyed him. Basically I believe his career in the NFL will be more like what was seen against Clemson in 2019 than anything recently.

Well, to be fair - had they kept those pics it would still be Pace selecting the players....so probably not that much better

I think this is accurate. He's trading draft picks that he probably won't/wouldn't be here to make to desperately keep his job.

Assuming the Packers won't be willing to give up their 2nd, they could reach up into the early 20s if there's someone they like.

If they ARE willing to trade the 2nd, they're nearing where they'd be able to move up to now.
