Rasmussen pitching a 2nd inning. That's an interesting development. Are they stretching him out?

Maybe the old Adrian Hauser middle innings bullpen role (typically 2 IP at a time)?

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Rasmussen retired four or more batters in five of his twelve appearances in 2020.

Throwing 40+ pitches though? Just surprising to me being that it is his first time out this spring.

I think it probably means we're going to see quite a bit of piggybacking, at least early on in the season. Although it would be fun to pencil an arm like Rasmussen into a future rotation spot, this is probably more to set him up to be able to throw 2-3 innings at a time.

So Bob Scanlan is a reporter for the Padres. my brother was 8-9 when he first played with the Brewers and I was 6-8. I don't even know why but my brother hated Bob Scanlan.

Everybody hated Bob Scanlan. He was terrible. He was 6'7" though so there's that. I presume he still is 6'7"

The Indians loaded up on lefties to face Adrian Houser today. :)

In all seriousness, improving against LHH will go along way towards determining what type of role he’s going to be able to maintain throughout the season.

Not just “at Night” anymore.
