For those interested in watching other teams as well here is a link for MLB Network’s Spring Training Game Broadcast Schedule.

That schedule denotes if a game is “LIVE”, the majority are re-broadcasts.

According to today’s schedule the Brewers-White Sox’s game will be aired on MLB Network at 1:00 AM Central Time on Monday morning.

For those that are able to watch NBC Sports Chicago today’s game will air live at 2:00 PM Central Time.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

For those who like to read way too much into the lineup for the first spring training game...Fisher in CF with Tyrone in LF is pretty interesting.

I would guess this is a case of they're already comfortable with Taylor in CF, they want to see what Fisher can do there. Kind of like what it sounds like they're going to do with Arcia/Urias at SS this Spring.

I thought I remember seeing last year cases where Garcia played cf while Taylor played right. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that, but I get a sense that CC doesn't have a ton of confidence in Taylor's defense

I know it’s only game #1 but Keston’s K rate continues to worry me.

Yeah, he was swinging right through pitches in the strike zone again, which is infuriating, lol, but it is game one and he did smash a complete bomb too. Hopefully he shows improvement on that front as he gets more at bats under his belt this Spring.

Keston Hiura wasn't going to magically figure out how to not strikeout in a few months of relaxing at home. Hopefully he improves a bit with more MLB experience, but I doubt he is ever pleasant in that regard. 25% K rate is probably a realistic end goal/dream.

Taylor looking to get a leg up on the 4th OFer.

His hits today were impressive, looked like his bat was explosive. Granted both hits were off southpaws, but he really jumped on the first good pitch he had to hit in each at bat.

As an aside, some of the Spring Training parks are sharing Statcast data via BaseballSavant.com, and others aren’t. With tomorrow’s game against the Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields we will have Statcast data.
