I find it hilarious that it took the Cardinals to go on a historic 15 game winning streak just you get to 7 games back of the Brewers in the division.

One more W!

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I've been a Brewers fan since the mid 70s. I've seen a lot of meaningless September Brewers baseball. This final week of games will be some of the most enjoyable meaningless September Brewer games I have ever watched.

User in-game thread post in 1st inning of 3rd game of the 2022 season: "This team stinks"

For a reminder of how much things can change after a few days off, the Brewers lost 6 of 8 heading into the All Star Break this year, and then started off the second half of the season with a sweep on the road of a [at the time] red hot Reds team.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

I love this thread and I love this team. Brewers are taking down those Braves in the NLDS.

In my lifetime ( I am 42) this is by FAR the most confident I have gone into a post season. I actually feel we have a chance to win a world series. Other years I was happy to make the playoffs but I knew we needed a TON to go right to even have a chance. This year I thnk with our pitching we can line up with anyone and have a good shot.

Lets do this!!!

We need Freddy from April/May to show up tomorrow, when he seemingly carried 1-hitters into the 6th inning every start. Hopefully his velocity is back after dipping 5mph since the injury

Well the good news is Freddy’s fastball velocity hasn’t dipped 5-mph, and was actually above average in his first start back after the mid-August injury. It actually looks like this has been the most consistent year of his career in terms of maintaining velocity throughout the season.

From Brooks Baseball, here is his by month average velocity…

And his by game average velocity…

I LOVE when actual stats are used in the OPTIMISM thread to curb negativity! Bravo!
