After being at last nights game, I can confirm that the Brewers are winning the World Series.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

The Brewers currently have the 3rd best winning percentage (.571) in the National League behind only the Giants (.629) and Dodgers (.603). They are tied with the Cubs who are also at .571, and the Padres are an identical 9 games over .500, but have a .569 winning percentage.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

While his numbers are even better if you go to a more recent sample, Luis Urías over the past two full months (since April 12th) has been pretty solid:

.258 BA / .346 OBP / .465 SLG / .811 OPS

9 2B / 1 3B / 7 HR / 26 RBI / 19 BB

He had a bad first week and a half of the season in early April, but has been a solid contributor in the lineup ever since.

I love how he works the count. Having him, vogelbach and yelich in the first 3 spots leads to a lot of high pitch counts for opposing pitchers.

Vogelbach's last 30 games, he is .241/.388/.456 (.844 OPS) can live with that.

Yelich last 14 (seems fair due to the return from injury) .243/.420/.486/.906

Adames has an OPS of .824 since joining the Brewers

Narvaez has an OPS of .861 over the last month and that is with injury stuff

Garcia has only been .781 over the last month but that still isnt terrible

Between now and August 30th the Brewers have 21 series.

Only 5 of those series are against current playoff teams - 2 against the Cubs, 1 against the Mets, White Sox, and Giants.

Of the other 16 series 4 are against the Reds - the only other team they play who is currently above .500 albeit just 1 game over.

The remaining 12 series have 10 are against teams near the bottom of the league. And then 2 are against the Cards, and Braves.

Yelich is currently on pace to have his 2nd highest OBP season (.409) in his 9 year career. His highest was 2019 at .429….2018 was .402.

Getting on base obviously doesn’t cover the lack of power/average/k rate. But it is a glimmer of hope. He’s also ranked by B/R as a top 15 base runner in the entire league.

Don't look now, but after a horrid month of April (.184/.273/.327), with some regular playing time Vogelbach has got his numbers lightly above his career averages (.224/.337/.414)

In 51 PAs in June he has a slash of .273/.373/.636 for an OPS of 1.009.

MVP numbers right there

Back in 1st place in the Central. A big comeback win last night has us ready to get back to our winning ways.

Matt Arnold echoed what David Stearns said recently regarding Ashby: it is still possible he helps the Brewers this year at the front of games, even if he has transitioned to bullpen at Triple A.

"I think he’s going to help us this year," Stearns said recently

Cubs lose and Brewers win. No matter what happens tomorrow, we will be alone in first heading into the series with the Cubs!

The Cubs play on Sunday Night Baseball in LA tomorrow night before flying the red-eye to Milwaukee for the series opener on Monday. The Brewers also currently have Peralta-Woodruff-Burnes lined up and listed as their starters for that series.

The Cubs don't have their starters announced but it seems like it would be a mixture of Hendricks, Arrieta, and Davies. This series is ripe for us to take 2 of 3 .

Also was at the game yesterday. The crowd was great. And Yelich made great contact on 4 of his 5 at bats. Could have easily had another home run and an extra base hit

You spelled sweep wrong.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."
