He is failing at getting the team ready each week and calling plays. PC is as good as Matt Nagy at calling plays and game planning. Having only 3 yards on 9 plays is all on the HC and this is pathetic.

outgained in the first q 128- 3 lol. This team is an embarrassing joke at the moment. Cryst has no idea what he's doing. I don't even want to support this by wasting my Saturday afternoons watching this anymore.

 

I used to think he was a good coach, and a great choice and fit for this program. I can admit when I'm wrong. No leadership, can't or won't adjust, and just ........ oof. I don't expect WI to be in the national title discussion, but this is just painful to watch. We went from being a top 25 program to not even being able to be competitive in 2 years.

We've won a lot of football games in the last 25 years with some pretty average QB play. Even at times mediocre QB play. We now have a bad QB, because the average/good QB left because he lost his starting gig because of injury. We have a bad OL, a group of average RB's (at a school that specializes in running the ball), and here we are. Who recruited these guys? Who's in charge of the people recruiting these guys?

I believe pretty much everyone thinks it's both. Alvarez did great things for the program no doubt, but the offensive system is now unimaginative and archaic. It doesn't help when PC doesn't even try to make adjustments with it.

Because at some point the HC needs to make an adjustment to their gameplan and week over week he doesn't even try to.

 

He barely puts anyone in motion it is the same 5 plays every week. He refuses to use players like Ferguson in the slot to free him up. Ferguson is his best receiver yet he can only lineup next to a tackle?

 

At some point you have to stop blaming the players and look at the HC if he isn't making adjustments to the game plan and calling of plays it is on the HC and not the players.

 

Chryst = Nagy in terms of play calling and gameplans. Both are just horrible at their jobs.
