Think I was most surprised by Lyles not being the starting C. Or if not C then at a G. Not that I've thought he's been thaaaat good, but just as a senior who's been playing/starting a lot I was surprised. I'm sure he'll still play a lot, depth is always needed.

 

RB was always gonna be a shared spot anyway.

Joe Tippmann beating out Kayden Lyles is big. Lyles was a big recruit and took one for the team flipping to the DL his freshman year, but he just hasn’t been a great player. Still, you have a sophomore taking a job from an established senior…you can expect a clear upgrade.

 

Chez is going to be good. So will Berger. Question will be if Guerendo or Braelon Allen can earn carries as a bigger back.

 

I’m stoked for Saturday. I think UW wins and covers the 4.5 points.

We've struggled vs PSU pretty much forever. But yea I also have a good feeling UW will play great in this game and cover. I don't know, for some reason I have it in my head that after big layoffs, time to prep, full strength teams they've done well with Chryst. Thinking of winning all bowls before the RB, massive blowouts to start the last two years, etc.

 

Ridiculous this and ND game are at 11 AM. Almost want to root for realignment just to change up this TV contract that's sticking them with these Fox noon games.

According to Crawford, he was attacked in his dorm room by Antwan Roberts, another frosh RB that's been suspended indefinitely, and used the knife to defend himself. I am curious what led Roberts to do this if that is, indeed, what happened.

Different, yes...but same in the sense they kicked him off the team instantly. Though if I recall Cephus was not only kicked off the team, but they kicked him out of the school.

 

I am guessing the team doesn't buy his story or they have enough information that he was part of the problem that transpired.

I mean, regardless of what transpired previously, in the end he pulled a knife on a teammate. Probably dismissal from the team worthy regardless of how the situation plays out. Not a 'he said, she said' that proved to be false.

I think Cephus was suspended from the program until the university ousted him. Obviously, there were additional complexities and complicating factors in that case.

Using a knife crosses a very well defined line at UW and their student conduct policy, as this happened in the dorms. That is my understanding of why Crawford was kicked off the team.

 

That, and I believe Crawford was already on thin ice. He hasn't exactly been a high character guy the last year or so.
