Would you trade Rodgers for Watson?

CheezWizHed

One thing I just thought of regarding this - the Titans/Ravens, etc. get slammed for not having all their players wearing masks at all times while in their practice facility and coaches get big fines for not wearing their face mask enough during a game despite them all being tested almost daily....has the NFL weighed in yet on what portion of their COVID protocols allows for players to be in close contact with 40-some non-organization personnel while receiving services they should be able to get from within the organization's staff?

The COVID stuff pales in comparison to these allegations from basically 2 dozen women and it appears Watson used more than 50 different women for massages over the past year or so....but jeez, so much for the perception of all NFL players "living in their bubble" during the week between gamedays and outside team facilities.

A lot of men don't want male therapists. A lot of women also don't want male therapists.

That's a true statement from my experience. I was on vacation and booked a massage at a local shop and the only availability was a male. His wife was booked up for weeks, but I was able to set a time with him at my convenience same day. No difference at all in the experience and no weirdness. My back felt great after a long flight and I was relaxed for the wedding. That's all I care about.

Yes, I know. But most men are not professional athletes who get physical therapy/massage almost every week of their lives. You would think there would be less resistance to something when it's a part of your daily routine. Not worth arguing about it. Lots of George Costanzas out there.

Well, my point was that it's a non-starter for a lot of people. As a pro athlete he can have his pick of the litter for services. So if there are no male therapists in there, that alone wouldn't tell me much of anything. Even if he had a preference for only hot female therapists, which I would guess a lot of young male pro athletes do, he can afford whatever, so it's hard to take much from it.

I agree, I don't think wanting a women massage therapists or how many he's had is in and of itself very telling.

Watson is practicing with the Texans. He doesn't want to play for them. The Texans don't want him to play for them. And no team is going to trade for him until his legal troubles are over or the league decides if and how long to suspend him. Do the Texas deactivate him every game if this isn't solved by the regular season? Does Watson refuse to play if they don't? What a weird situation.
