I still think that when the Braves re-brand that they should still remain the Braves, but drop the Native American reference and replace it with an American Soldier (similar to the Patriots). I doubt that this will happen, but that would allow the team name to remain and still have meaning.

That is easier with something like the Warriors. If you were doing that with Braves you would almost have to drop the S because I don't know if there is any other context in which Brave has been used as a noun.

True. You won’t get away from pissing off large amounts of the population no matter what you do though. That being said, I would highly doubt they’d go this route. If anything they’d likely go the route that upsets the half of the population that would like this approach.
