Hopefully this finally breaks the ice and some more free agents start signing. Can't really say that this 6/$150 deal came at a "Covid discount," so we'll see how the price tags on lesser free agents looks.

This should be a good deal for about 2 years and then turn horrible. He'll turn 32 this year and I can't imagine playing CF on that turf will be great for his health, especially once he hits his mid to late 30's.

That would probably turn to Springer's benefit during the contract.

So it would appear Toronto is now going to have a $10.3 mil/year 4th OF for the next 3 years in Grichuk. And potentially adding Brantley to be a 5th OF/2nd DH as well. If I were a Blue Jay fan, which I clearly am not, I would want them to spend money on pitching instead.
