If Green Bay has an advantage over the Rams because of the weather, I think that advantage isn't due to the number of games a team has played in winter conditions, but rather the Packers live in winter conditions and the Rams don't. The players that live in Green Bay experience winter every time they walk to and from their car, or practice outdoors, etc. I think that acclimation can mean players are less impacted by the conditions, or perhaps they are able to adapt to them quicker than players who aren't as acclimated. That could give Green Bay a bit of an edge early, but I don't think it will be a huge edge and I don't think it will last.

I think if the Rams wear the right shoes and they stay in the game, I don't think the weather will be a huge factor. If the game starts to get away from them, or if they have the wrong shoes, I think that's when guys focus on the weather and the game can get away from them.

I expect this to be a close game.

I could certainly see this. I recall going to the 2011 Rose Bowl and doing things the couple days prior the weather was ok in my book, I wore a lightweight jacket. The locals out there thought it was cold and miserable.

I'm out in LA now and this really can't be stressed enough. It's 89 degrees and sunny as I type this. Yesterday I went to Home Depot in shorts and a t-shirt. Pretty much everyone else was in a hoodie or an actual winter jacket. It was 82 and I was sweaty. They were shivering. If it dips into the 50s at night nobody will even walk outside.

These people are soft and, sadly, I'm sure its a matter of time until I become one of them.

I lived in the OC during high school and if the temperature dips below 55 the governor calls a state of emergency.

I really think the weather thing shows up when you throw and catch. In the trenches, it doesn't have much impact. As it stands, I don't think it will be quite cold enough to have a huge impact.

The head coaches in this game are younger than both the starting QBs in the NO vs TB game. That's just weird.

Any game day predictions (score or otherwise)?

I’ll go with the Packers, but won’t be shocked to see the Rams significantly slow down the Packers offense. I think it’ll be low scoring and the team that breaks 20 first ends up winning it.

As far as official score predictions, I’ll say the Packers 24-16. I think the Rams get a huge INT at some point, but outside of a modest game from Akers they don’t due much offensively.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I’ve felt all week that the Packers probably cover. Rodgers finally gets one of these top defenses at home, he’s healthy, he’s rolling, and the Rams are banged up, especially at QB and WR1. Anything can happen, and I’ve seen enough disappointing playoff losses not to be completely shocked if an upset happens, but I really don’t think that’s likely. I think pack probably win by around ten. Something like 27-17.

It’s currently 37 in Green Bay. Families are outside taking walks. The Rams could not have been gotten any luckier with Green Bay weather in January.

I don't know if I would call it lucky, it's been a pretty mild winter so far.

Divisional games are tough to get out of even if you have the week off. We have won 3 straight but they have all been dog fights. I think this one will be a little easier but I expect them to make us sweat for a while. 31-13 we pull away late, pick 6 for Jaire.

I think Packers D plays pretty well today. Goff is gonna struggle. Only way I see Packers lose if is Akers goes off and they get a decent sized lead.

I think the first two series are going to be so big. This isn't really going out on a limb, but if the Packers can get their offense going right out of the gate and slow the Rams down, the Packers could roll. Having to force the Rams to pass, especially when they come out in the 2nd half.

But I'll root for that and guess what I've been saying all week. Packers are in control, but it's not a high scoring game. Add another score and it'll be similar to Packers-Bears NFCCG.
