Why the Tony Gwynn Jr. hatred?

I know most of you just hate Tony Gwynn Jr. right now. He may have about as much home run power as an ant right now. But the guy can run and he can hit for a high average. In my opinion, the only reason for the recent hatred is that the rest of our offense has fizzled. If Rickie Weeks would return to his offensive best and be put further up in the order, the Gwynn rants would not even be happening.

But I just discovered something, he has not had one single career Major League homer.

I know Gwynn is still somewhat young, so lets send him back down to the minors and bring up Rottino?

the TGJ rants have nothing to do with weeks. The fact that he can't hit does. The fact that he didn't earn his way back up to the MLB team ticks me off.
