What's bugging you? 2021

MLB audio has now added an unskippable ad whenever you try to connect to a radio broadcast. When I start it up, I get the ad for some dog food thing. When I change to a different game I get the same 30 second unskippable ad for some dog food thing. If I try to switch to the Home feed or the road feed, I get the same dang ad.

They need to fix this ASAP.

I like to listen to Pandora and during the day I get the same Little Ceasers ad EVERY SINGLE TIME. Sometimes you get two ads....and BOTH will be that same ad.

If you are going to give me ads at least change it up. I also don't get why I get that specific ad either. Usually they are pretty targeted and I have never even eaten Little Ceasers in my life.

They know that. That is why they will beat you into submission -- or use the Jedi Mind Trick by having the ad on so often... ;)

You’ve never had Little Caeser’s in your life?

I hadn't either until 10 or so years ago when they emerged from whatever hole they had crawled into for 20 or so years.

I probably had it twice somewhere in between 1990 and 2010, but since they re-invented themselves as a value-oriented takeout place, I probably have it once per month. You’ll never hear me call in great pizza, but it’s inexpensive and convenient.

I don't think I ever have, at least not in the last 25 years. I don't think I've lived close to one (<10 minute drive) in the last 25 years except for when I lived in Madison, and if Little Caesar's is within 10 minutes of a Rocky Rococco's I'm going Rocky's 100 times out of 100.

I enjoy Little Caeser's pizza.

I like it better than Dominos, way better in fact.

I like Pizza Hut the best out of the chains though.

I don't live near a Little Caesars now, but when frozen pizzas are in the $5-6 range, picking up a $5 hot-n-ready was common for our family as an alternative. I wouldn't compare it to an eat-in pizza place, but compared to frozen it was good.

This is what I do to get around the Pandora ads on my computer at work with the ad block plus extension. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on a mobile app.

Thanks, maybe I will just start connecting through my computer to avoid the ads. Their ads really don't bother me until I get the same one 200 times in a day.

On another note I tried Little Ceasers last weekend for fun...easily the worst pizza I have ever had in my life. I would have rather had a totinos party pizza over that garbage. I suspected it was extra garbage and the wife did say she thought it was bad compared to the Little Ceasers she has had in the past. Still, everything about the pizza was bland. To me it really doesn't seem cheap or quick either. I can pick up a pizza at Dominos for similar price and get multiple toppings. Dominos is always super fast at making pizza too so I can basically order and by the time I get there it is done. Not to mention way better tasting. Safe to say I won't ever eat Little Ceasers again in my lifetime.

Thought it was Covid, it wasn't, and now I can only figure it was a bad bout of food poisoning. But it dehydrated me so completely that a 10' walk felt like a two-mile run. So that put me out for a week+.

Other family stuff going poorly and then I made my mother cry, so there's that.

Little Caesars is ok, sometimes, for $5. Leftovers however are usually trash, I like cold pizza the next day most times in general but LC's doesn't pass muster in that regard. It's got to be hot and fresh or don't bother. Their deep deep dish pizza is awful also, too much crust and not enough toppings to counter all that bread and the crust can't bring it up to satisfactory on its own.

Pizza Hut brought back their Detroit pizza. I'm a big fan, I've had two already and it's only the first week.

Some of us actually have horses, and for parasite management you are supposed to rotate through the different drugs available. Well its time for ivermectin. The metro area Farm fleets went from 50+ doses to 0 of ivermectin in a couple of hours today.

The stupidity of people never ceases to absolutely amaze me. I hope you can eventually find what you need for your horses.

My park has the giant horse fly. The things are about 1" long and they bite. One area in particular is swampy and has horse trails, so longer grass also perfect for ticks. Ran into a guy leaving the area last week and both his arms were covered in red fly bites. Plus you'll have to scrape 40+ ticks off each horse if you ride in the summer.

The stretch of 90/94 between Tomah and Portage. Filled with semi’s and long rolling hills so they take miles to pass each other, you are constantly in large clusters at high speed, feels like one wayward deer can kill a dozen people. I have driven the interstate from La Crosse to South Florida about a dozen times in the last decade and that is by far the most dangerous stretch of rural interstate on the trip. Looks like they are doing some major construction around New Lisbon, hopefully finally expanding it to 6 lanes.

I used to drive that stretch as it was the fastest route for me to go to Madison/Illinois. Eventually I decided to just go via I-39 as it was only 10-15 minutes longer. Now I-39 just makes sense all around.

That stretch by Tomah/Dells is comical in the summer and can be an absolute disaster on Sunday's when the 'up north' traffic and the people leaving the Dells collide. It can end up a stand still backed up for miles. I assumed years ago they would expand it to more lanes in that stretch as it is a massive problem. Last I checked they aren't right now and canceled a study for it years ago. Can't say I care anymore though.

I am sure there is local opposition in the Dells area as well as some expensive and complicated parts of it around there to expand. But the Twin Cities has nearly doubled in population since 1970 and with that really the only feasible route to Chicago the problem will just get worse.

This describes my recent experience on I-80 across Iowa and Nebraska. The speed limit is 70/75, but good luck actually going that fast half the time. One truck going 68 moves over to pass another truck going 67, and it takes miles to pass.

Facebook memory on a Fantasy Baseball playoff matchup where a win sends me to the finals a big payday even taking 2nd. 2013. Jim Henderson on mound closing out a Sunday Night baseball game I believe vs the Cardinals. I'm winning. There are 2outs. My batter(1b Matt? Something?) Is 4 batters away. All I need is 1 out. 3 singles are instead given up and my guy comes to the plate. Henderson Strikes him out to end ball game. That strikeout caused me to lose BA by .001. $550 less to me taking 3rd vs 2nd and I believe 1300 less had I taken 1st. Being these analytic days. What may have been the probability of a win for me at the beginning of this scenario?

I would have won with a walk or HBP or a hit clearly.

Well considering Henderson was really good that year and had a sub 7 H/9 your odds were probably pretty good that your guy would never bat. It should be noted if your guy did come up to bat the odds would not have been in your favor as you needed him to get on base free or by a hit.

Getting to the sixth guy in the order for the inning doesn't seem overly impossible and, again, your odds wouldn't be good if it did so that has to be taken into consideration. I would think before the inning started you odds probably floated in the 70%-80% range. After the first two outs I would guess those odds were likely 95%+. Of course after each of the consecutive hits those odds would have quickly started to plummet. Once he came up to the plate it is reasonable to assume your odds were probably close to his .356 OBP against RHP. You could probably dig deeper and find maybe he struggled against Henderson or guys with his stuff, thus, plummeting the odds more...but for simple sake I would guess it was close to his OBP.

This is assuming you were set to win if he never came up to the plate.
