Inflation.

I just paid $15 for a Papa Murphy’s pizza that I swear cost just $10 or $11 pre-pandemic.

I'm pretty sure that every company out there that sells a tangible product is looking around and saying, "Other companies are raising their prices and blaming COVID - let's raise prices. COVID!!"

I'm sure there are some legit supply issues going on also (slaughter house cyber attack, gasoline supply cyber attack). But I was at a restaurant recently that I visited prior to the pandemic and was stunned at the price increase...

I work as a seasonal food producer and our costs really haven't gone up much, maybe 5% at most. Other people in the industry are talking of raising prices dramatically. I think they are taking advantage of the situation. We probably won't raise much at all.

For many (even those raising prices) i’ve noticed a reduction in portions too. At first I thought it was coincidence, but after multiple visits the reduction is real. Not that i need all the food, but for many places we’d get 2 meals out of a dinner and now its closer to 1.5 (and we’re loosing weight so its not our thinking the meals are smaller because we need more)...

My brake line decided I wanted to start my weekend early. Who needs brakes anyways?

You're drivin' along, you're drivin' along, the kids start shouting from the back seat, "I gotta go to the bathroom, Daddy!" "Not now, damn it!" Truck tire. EEEEEEEE! I CAN'T STOP! There's a cliff! AAAAAHH! And your family's screaming, Oh my God, we're burning alive!" "No! I can't feel my legs!" Here comes the meat wagon. And the medic gets out and says, "Oh my God". New guy's around the corner puking his guts out.

Take a real good look at the rest of them. You might be better off replacing them all while you’re at it.

Yep got the whole back line replaced. Even though it was the back driver's side, the back passenger side was pretty far gone too.

Why is Toonsis the Driving Cat in my head right now?

He drives around, all over the town. :laughing

Fun fact if you're me: One Toonces skit showed his driver's license and he and I share a birthday. I actually don't mind this compared to some of the real-life celebrities who are my birthday buddies.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

People that park in front of the fuel pumps that don't purchase fuel. What the... is wrong with people. There are plenty of parking spots available between the yellow lines.

I never leave my car by the pump even after filling. My wife judges me every time, but I move and park. People who fill and then go in are just as annoying if it is a busy gas station (minus if it a quick run to the bathroom or something).

I've debated how it works if you fill your car and move it... If someone starts filling at the same station before you pay, does that flag it as a drive-off?

Well if you are paying inside you would be correct that it would have to stay and not move. I wasn’t referring to that kind of person though, more so one who pays at the pump and then heads inside to do 30 minutes of who knows what.

Exactly why I hate Kwik Trip though. People parking at the pump not even getting gas, people paying inside and then basically grocery shopping, etc. Can never find a pump half the time because a bunch of empty cars taking up space.

Gotcha.... If I'm going inside, I always pay inside.

[sarcasm]But how un-Wisconsin of you to hate Kwik Trip![/sarcasm]

I'll admit that I've parked at the pump once or twice when all the parking spots where full and there is no where else to park (i.e. along the side or wherever). But it certainly is my last resort.

Yea, I don't think people go in for 30 minutes. The problem has been identified. If I'm going in to buy something I'm only going to pay once. So I'm not driving away from the pump if I haven't paid yet. Guessing that's the case for the vast majority of people.

My tire (sidewall, sigh) decided to pop and give me an early day too. I was just praising my car for how well it was doing with regular maintenance. I think I jinxed it.
