Game 16: Packers @ Bears - Sunday, January 3rd , 3:25PM CT

Bears clearly think pounding the run is how to beat us. Smart

Worked for one team (MIN) this year.

Other strategies that proved effective were only allow ten points (TB) & get four turnovers (IND).

I still feel like if our run defense is as bad as many make it out to be that more teams would have exploited it all the way to victory. Maybe Chicago will be number two.

Did we really just run on 3rd and 5?

Clearly planned to go for it on 4th down.

I get that, but you're pretty much putting yourself in 4th down. Even if you're planning on going for it if needed, that needs to be in Rodgers hands twice. Running there is putting a lot of eggs in one basket, that we needed a penalty to get.

Adams has to be careful getting in the refs' face like that. Clearly held, but still.

Well if the flag didn't come out there? Wow. Have to get a TD here, too much time off the clock in 2 drives to not match them. Vikes beat us by minimizing possessions and I think Bears feel that is how they win today.

Yes, but scream in a ref's face doesn't get it for you either. And perhaps a personal foul. And perhaps less likely to get a flag later.

It's not even close. He was in bounds.

I’m behind on the DVR and just saw this. The initial call was that Patterson touched it while in bounds. Somehow the call changed before it went to review? I thought he touched it first, but didn’t think there was enough to overturn the call on th field (which wasn’t even th initial call?). Bears caught a break.
