Definitely. Now is Bud going to give him a chance to play? He seems loathe playing young guys, especially bigs if he can help it at all.

Damn...you read those comments? Some pretty hateful stuff in there.

People seem to be assuming he was SO drunk he couldn't even recognize his vehicle and blaming him for being in now TWO parking lot incidents.

Well, he did nothing wrong in the first and I don't know what happened here other than he seemed to violate Covid protocol and got beat up. But pretty easy to see how someone could make the mistake of getting into the wrong van if it's a party van or just not your vehicle.

Most people could diffuse that situation by apologizing profusely and moving on, but I’m guessing the strip club after midnight crowd is a little different than say Costco on a Saturday.

I came out of Costco one day and went to put the groceries in the back of my red dodge durango. When I opened the back, I was stunned to find a bunch of junk in the back that wasn't mine. My mind raced to try to figure out how it got in there. Then I realized this wasn't my red dodge durango...mine was three parking spots down. Thankfully no one jumped me for doing that. True story.

I was picking up my daughter from school and had parked in a spot...brought my daughter back to the spot...only to open the door and find a bunch of other kids who had just gotten loaded up into their car seats, looking at me confused as the mother turned around from the driver's seat and saw me.

Thankfully she realized immediately what had happened (I was one spot over) and burst out laughing instead of screaming.

I did the same thing about 7-8 years ago. Jumped into a Black Chevy Malibu and it didn't dawn on me that the seats were different, clothe or that the seat was too far up...or that I kept trying to start my car...probably with a dumb look on my face, holding the key fob up and repeatedly pushing the putting. This guy come out and raps on the window and just kinda nods to his left. There was big van parked between my car and his. Luckily he just kinda laughed as I got out.

I also knew a guy I went to HS with. About 3-4 years out of HS, he was living in these duplexes across from a Bar. They were all pretty similar, but this idiot was so drunk, he went into the wrong house, took his pants, shirt off and then flopped down on a bed...that two people were sleeping on. He woke up about 20 minutes later with a flashlight in his eyes.

Pretty lucky he didn't get shot. By the occupants or the Police. People have certainly been shot for left. They did have a kid in the house. I wonder what woulda happened had he gone to sleep in that room? Likely a lifetime of having to notify your neighbors you're moving in.

but hey, how about the Bucks getting a big win over Philly tonight??!!

Yeah, I suppose this really isn't on-topic.

Helluva first quarter tonight! Another big game vs Philly on Saturday. Close the gap to 1.5 games.

Getting the top seed may be more important this year than it was the last two.

I always personally enjoyed when a friendly side conversation develops naturally within the group in a thread as long as it resolves itself within a page or two and doesn't end up derailing the thread. But I know moderators have to keep things organized and on topic and I understand that.

Anyway, was a great win last night. I've been really impressed with what Portis has given us off the bench this year. I do think Bud was a little ticked when he tried to close out the game with the end of his bench and they ended up turning the ball over 3 times in 40 seconds and forced him to bring his starters back out for the end.

There is no harm in a short detour in a thread as long as it doesn't get contentious, last too long, or duplicate discussion in another thread dedicated to that topic. (Said the moderator that caused the tangential discussion. ;) )

I still think the Bucks can win it all. It took them a while to get Jrue involved and then they had a really good stretch right before the ASG and then he got Covid. Then he came back and wasn't full speed and Giannis got hurt. Then you've got Tucker who hasn't played much yet. They just need all their guys healthy and in sync before the playoffs and they can make a run.

The problem I see is that they will likely be seeded 3rd which means being paired with probably Philly in the 2nd round and Brooklyn after that. I can see them beating Philly or Brooklyn in the ECS. But then having to beat the other the next series, AND beat whoever make it from the West? Just a very tall order. The top seed getting that breather against #4/5 feels relevant this year because the top 3 are so clearly better than the bottom 5.

We don't really know who the best in a series is until the playoffs start and the starters see more minutes (hopefully Bud gets that now) but I'm just not confident the Bucks are good enough.

Bucks have the best Net Rtg in the East. 3rd in the NBA behind Utah and the Clippers

I said at the beginning of the season that Bogdanovic might not even be an upgrade from DDV. I was so wrong.

Bogdanovic has been pretty dominant the last 20 games.

Seems strange he had a problem being the 4th option on the Bucks though. That once we traded for Jrue, he was disappointed.

I feel like he'd be getting pretty much the same number of shots and the same usage rate in Milwaukee as he does in Atlanta with Young, Collins and Hunter.

I'm still a big fan of DD though. I'd prefer Bogdan, but Donte is a really nice high energy player who attacks and can defend. I am kinda waiting for him to take that next step though. Become a more viable 4th option.

Just playing terrible late. I think Atlanta is on a 30-10 run.

These are games you just can't drop this late if you have any shot at the top seed.

I wonder how much playing Saturday in Milwaukee and the traveling to Atlanta to play had to do with the end of game flop, especially since Atlanta had a home game Friday than was off Saturday.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

That's what I thought when I realized they were playing the next day at the end of the Sixers game. That they'd be a little tired.

But the way they're losing is starting to become a little bit of a trend. Same way they lost to Dallas, they blew that game vs GSW in a similar way. Memphis was another game they just looked flat in down the stretch. It's a bit concerning.

So many games they've blown that could have them in position to win the top seed.

But in this game, gotta give ATL credit. They did shot lights out in the 4th.

Tucker really has no business taking up significant minutes on this team.

I thought going to a winner might be a good thing for him and maybe his contributions would be more apparent but he is cooked.
