Giannis FT splits:

Dec (5 games): 62.2%

Jan (13): 58.2%

Feb (15): 74.7%

Mar (5): 80.0%

Not only that, but he looks much more comfortable and smooth on his shot more recently. Certainly a huge improvement.

And he's made several during crunch time.

DJW and DJA for PJT, yes that is PJ Tucker. Another good 3 point shooter that plays great defense.

Full trade is PJ Tucker, Rodions Kurucs and a 2022 first round pick which was the Bucks pick for DJ Wilson, DJ Augustine, 2023 unprotected pick and right to swap picks in 2021 Houston's second round pick for the Bucks 2021 1st round pick top 9 protected.

They made a good 5 big mistakes in the last 40 seconds of the game, two by Middleton. That was the textbook way of blowing a 7 point lead in 40 seconds. They had this one if they didn't just screw up the end. Here's hoping for a good OT.

They also traded Craig to the Suns...though I guess that was technically a second deal.

This seems like a good deal even if Tucker isn't the same player he was last year. They free up some room for the payroll, get out from Augustine's contract since he was never a good fit here. Seemed like they never really gave Craig the playing time he needed, but if they can pick up a competent PG who gets bought out, seems like it is at worst it's a solid trade. And if he ends up playing in the post-season like he has for Houston...he could end up putting us over the top.

LOL @ the crummiest fans in professional sports being mad at Giannis for sitting on their court.

You must mean classiest. When have Philly fans EVER been anything but respectful?

Sucks that Augustin didn't work out. I thought he might be a George Hill clone. He looked pretty washed up, though.

HiAndTight could put up an easy 20 on Augustine. I recall defense was not his specialty, had no idea how bad.

I do have a killer crossover....just sayin.

Seriously though...did he really work out any differently than we thought? We knew how bad he'd be defensively. He shot pretty well. Tucker just seems like a perfect fit. Provided the dip in his play this year is more due to how bad Houston is and not him just being washed.

His 3% is way down this year, but as you'd figure so are the open looks he's been getting. But for the most part who cares about his offense--he's the small 5 who is still really good at playing a switching defense, which Lopez is too slow to play, and what they're going to see a lot of in the playoffs.

I'll share a snippet behind paywall on ESPN+ on the Tucker trade:

Part of the benefit for Milwaukee here is cleaning up the books. Constrained by a hard cap at the luxury-tax apron after using their non-taxpayer midlevel exception to sign Augustin and Bryn Forbes this past offseason, the Bucks wouldn't have even been able to fill out their 15th roster spot for another few weeks. Now, they've got $3.5 million in wiggle room and could create more by sending Kurucs to a team capable of taking on his contract via cap room or trade exception.

It surely also doesn't hurt that Milwaukee is potentially out of the luxury tax, depending how many of the incentives in Holiday's contract he achieves -- including $1 million if they win the championship and he plays 75% of playoff games.

Wiggle room with the cap is nice, not a huge amount of space but not bad.

Also, clarity on what the Bucks get from sending Craig to the Suns:

Phoenix will have to send back cash, the rights to a former draft pick who has not played in the NBA or a second-round pick (presumably protected for the top-55 picks).

Kinda disappointed to see Craig leave without ever really getting himself going in Milwaukee, but I guess we've got plenty of wings and need any available space to add a PG.

I see the Bucks are interested in Isaiah Thomas. Which suggests that Jrue is going to be playing a LOT of minutes in the post-season and when he's not, it'll be Krhis and DDV running the offense.

If another team wants to spend good defensive guard ability on DDV instead of Middleton or Jrue or doubling Giannis, that's just fine with me.

The issue is more about when Jrue's not playing. Who is our backup PG. Forbes?

How often does Jrue actually bring the ball up? Giannis and Khris bring the ball up a ton. In the playoffs, will probably see Jrue play 36-40 minutes a game, so those 8-12 minutes he isn't playing, one of Giannis or Khris will probably be bringing up the ball during that time.

It's DDV guarding the opposing teams PG, or Patty C.

For offensive initiation, it's DDV, Middleton or Giannis.
