Enjoy the Brazilian call of the Rodgers to Rodgers Hail Mary.

Yes, it always seems like when a coach is fired the rest of the team rebounds a bit. Certainly, they tend to break previous tendencies and become less predictable. But I think we do align well with this team defensively (more pass happy than run) and they do have a couple key injuries that help us also.

Detroit's defense was bad before and I believe their top two defensive backs are out for this one. Trubisky was 26/34 for 267 yards against them. If this is close it will be due to turnovers and/or punt returns for TDs

For those starting to pay closer attention to playoff scenarios, the Packers wrap up the division with a win and a Viking loss.

I feel like we should be rooting for the Vikings so they still have something to play for against the Saints.

With an extra Wild Card team this season, they likely will, even with a loss to the Bucs.

The Vikings still aren't over bountygate. Beyond the Packers, the Saints are the next hated team in MN. I'm sure they will be up for it.

Saints still have that big game vs the Chiefs remaining. Packers win H2H vs the Saints could be huge. I'm not very confident we win in NO in the playoffs, but very confident if Brees has to bring the Saints up to Lambeau.

On a side note, I missed the Packers activating Stepaniak. Nice to see him back...and gives the Packers some depth on the interior.

I'm not saying we shouldn't be able to handle them...but remember how depleted the Vikings secondary was when they beat us? I'm just saying playing a division rival on the road and that is breaking tendencies with a new HC...and a QB who's capable of getting hot could make this a tougher game than it should be.

We SHOULD beat them like we did earlier this year. But we should have beaten the Vikings as well.

With the tiebreaker vs the Saints, but 1 game behind, we can't afford to blow any games. We likely need to win out.

We're a mortal lock to win the division anyway so I'm not worried about the Vikings. In fact, I think it may behoove us for them to beat Tampa. I don't want any part of them in the playoffs.

Just about any team in the NFC playoff picture makes me nervous. If Aaron Rodgers turns in a peak performance and defense / special teams play merely average, I think the Packers can beat anyone. But if the offense has a turnover (or two), things could get out of hand quickly.

Is this week when Tavon Austin debuts? Also the DL they added? Both were inactive I believe last week to give them acclimation chances.

Can't forget Kingsley Keke creating some impact. Defensively, the players are improving(Gary included) Barnes returned. I'm taking more optimistic approach with defense heading towards playoffs. This will be a good game showing if that optimism is worthy. Det has been a tough win, Stafford is a better test on secondary. See how they hold up.

Offensively, you can't ask for much more. MVS to catch those balls. Seriously it feels every drop of his is 3pts lost on the drive and maybe you could say 1pt lost based on field position cost. A 4point drop. Rodgers is still giving him opportunities- like Adams early in to his career- maybe on timeline it'll happen as playoffs begin he catching those balls. Pettine had what seemed like as many interior blitzes as he had combined for the entire season last week. I hope he can call them again this week.

I expect GB to put up 40 and win 45-18 this week. I think Jones in a dome will have close to 160 total yards combined rushing/rec. 2TDs.

I hope we see both of them. I'd assume we would. Rush being in shape could be a potential game-changer for the Packers D. He's obviously not real splashy, but he's a big man who eats up blockers. WE don't need much more than that. He's a more physically imposing version of Howard Green. The way Martin is coming on and Keke and Clark is a constant in there. This defense might be rounding into shape. I really wish Raven Greene, my defensive darkhorse, could stay healthy, but...that is what it is.

As for Austin, that guy still has elite speed and he just puts pressure on a defense. Getting him involved in some motion, maybe give him the ball on a couple of jet sweeps early on and you freeze the backers then when you run that outside zone or obviously any play action.

Seattle, TB, NO, LAR...even SF if they managed to get in.

I feel pretty confident it'd take more than just a turnover or two for teams like the Giants or Cards to beat us. Or even the Vikings again. That game was pretty fluky.

But I think we're trending in the right direction and if we get HFA, I feel that much better.

Now that the Vikings have lost, the Packers can clinch the NFC North this afternoon with a win over the Lions.

Go Pack Go!

Hopefully they can parlay that into a Super Bowl berth for once.

The odds aren’t great. Try to enjoy the ride. Nothing beats a championship, but winning games is fun too.

I just appreciate you not spelling it "birth". This seems to be the time of the year fans like to see their teams clinch "playoff births."
