At least this guy was a prospect. The Yankees have called up former 14th rd pick Chris Gittens to play 1b

 

These don’t mean the same thing. You can be a 30th round pick and be a prospect. You can be a 4th round pick and a non-prospect

Hell, you can be a 5th overall pick out of college and a few years later be a non-prospect.
