If you guaranteed me a TD on our opening drive if we receive I would be willing to receive the opening kickoff every game for the rest of my life and I'm sure the Packers would do the same. It's a weird game to bemoan the coin toss costing us when we score 6 on the opening drive and the Bears got nothing on theirs.

It's also weird considering you have no control of the result of a coin flip.

Yeah I mean....we've lost 8 tosses in a row. Ok? What should we do about it? Call tails every time? Consult a magic 8 ball before the game? It is what it is, just a statistical oddity that 10 years from now will probably be statistically close over that span with every other team.

Bears kicked a fg. I personally prefer to be able to defer just because of the possibility of being able to score going in and coming out being a psychological advantage.

He meant, the Bears got zero on their opening drive of the half. And yes, while strategic, it doesn't work out often enough the team receiving the 2nd half kickoff even gets the ball last going into the half, let alone scores. I think it's being way overblown.

The weirdest thing is he thinks it's like a turnover BECAUSE the Bears basically had the ball to end the half and then again to start the 2nd half. Since the Packers started with the ball, the Bears getting the last full possession of the half means both teams had the same number of possessions. When in reality, if the Packers had the last full possession of the half (meaning the Packers actually had one more possession than the Bears) then that actually could be argued to be kind of like a takeaway. But both teams get a chance to start a half and then potentially "earn" an extra possession during that half, so the coin toss is pointless in that regard anyways.

For all the talk of it I don't think the Packers have a real issue at WR.

Despite MVS having a bad moment he'd been playing pretty well. Between he and Lazard and the best WR in the league it's not the reason they won't go far.

It’s still a pretty bad unit for a super bowl contender behind Adam’s. IF Lazard is healthy AND MVS is playing decent they can be fine...any problems to any of those theee and it turns into a pretty rough group quick. The TEs are fine in my opinion...nothing flashy, but they are useful.

I decided to start Williams in fantasy over other trash fodder after Conner went down to COVID....my team is going off after endless sub 100 point weeks. Pretty fitting Williams would have a day.

If I had started Cooper and Tonyan this week I'd be over 200 now. And to think all week I was sure I'd get my tail kicked in.

Lol ref just stood there holding the play up and end of 3qtr 8 secs later.

I don't get why teams dont just attack GBs defense with those 6-11yard deep crossing patterns. It's always open on passing downs.

Just like that another easy completion 1st down.

Though to be fair up 31 it is all youre trying to do. Mid-field clock running completions.

I think you can argue that the WR room is rounding into form. I was really keen to see a solid overall performance against a really good defense (we can quibble if the bears hearts were in this one tonight, but one could also argue we stomped them hard enough early to take the fight out of them). But MVS is still well under 50% receiving on his overall targets, so he still needs to keep stacking successes. Lazard is bringing that possession receiver energy, and EQ is even coming on, so that’s all good. This offense needs it, for sure. But Jones has been awfully quiet for the last month—he’s just as important, I’d say.

If you're just gonna run every down why not bring in Boyle?
