Wisconsin vs. Michigan game thread

LouisEly
Michigan has got some decent skill players but they don't use them very well.

They seem to have a bunch high rated recruits that don’t mesh into something fluid. That’s been a key to WI recruiting in FB and BB. They get specific guys, with specific skill sets, and they fit their system.

Very true.. seem to be a bit of a round peg and square hole issue

I have no idea how good Northwestern really is but Evanston has been a house of horrors for UW. Gonna be a tough one.

Besides Berger, a few other true freshmen saw their first game action. James Thompson saw a little time at DE but left with an injury; interesting that he got in the game instead of Rodas Johnson or Gio Paez, but I don't know if either is on the COVID list or injured. Jack Nelson also got in the game in their last possession at RT.

It seems like NW always beats the Badgers if they are good and they have wrecked at least a couple of fine seasons.

Yes, I was at two of those games. The John Clay fumble still haunts me.

Let's see, I was there in 1992 when they fumbled under a minute left while setting up for a winning FG. A win would have made them bowl eligible for the first time since the Morton era.

Another game in the 90's sitting in the sleet and they were shoutout, I believe.

Maybe something to do with busing down day of game?

You’re thinking McClain era. The only bowl they were eligible for under Morton was the Tidy Bowl.

True. By invoking Morton, I was referencing to the benchmark of ineptitude and the first opportunity to bury it in the past.
