Ford and Davis salvaged UWs first half. Just terrible shooting yet still hold the lead. It will be very disappointing if they do not eztend the kead quickly and cruise to an easy victory. Nebraska is just way too wild with no rebounding presence and no offense to speak of...just passing it around till a guy can go 1 on 1. Usually throwing up a wild/bad shot.

Davis is by far the best NBA prospect on Bucky's roster.

I only watched 2nd half. Looked great to me!

Last year, Kobe King was probably UWs best NBA prospect. If not for Davis, Nebraska probably has 2-3 guys who are better NBA prospects than anybody else on UWs roster. Nebraska will finish last in the B1G this year.

I'm pretty happy that when I get up on Christmas morning there's going to be Badgers vs MSU to watch while I have my coffee.

Ha I almost posted about how us older guys are already done with their coffee by 9AM(central) before realizing you were in AK. I always loved the 10Am packers games whenever I am on the west coast although if the Packers aren't on local TV you have to get moving early to get a seat at the Packer bar. Still, yeah I love the British open because I can get up and watch it at 9AM.

this team is really fun to watch. very solid on both ends of the floor and no real weaknesses.

This really isn’t worthy of it’s own thread, but some people may find it interesting: Will Ryan (son of Bo Ryan) is 0-7 at UWGB. Last year’s squad was 17-16, so it’s not like he inherited a program in rough shape. Even though their resources are pretty limited for a D1 program, UWGB has never been a bottom feeder. Their worst season in the last 15 years was when they went 13-20 a few years ago, but that was right after Trevor Anderson defected for Madison and Kerem Kanter (brother of Enes Kanter) did a grad transfer to Xavier. This is an odd year and I’m still hopeful Ryan will lead them to a Horizon League title and tourney appearance eventually.

Say what you want about Bo Ryan's departure at Wisconsin, but I give him a ton of credit for making sure that Gard was his successor.

Gard interviewed for the UWGB job in 2010 and 2015. Hypothetically, had he been offered the job in 2015, would Bo Ryan have retired when he did? The Badgers stopped scheduling UWGB shortly after Gard took over and I suspect that’s because he harbored resentment toward UWGB for passing on him (twice). Thankfully, those ties appear to be mended with Will Ryan in Green Bay. UWGB needs that game because it’s budget-friendly and helps raise their profile in the region. The Badgers could take it or leave it, obviously.
