Another TV timeout. Last time the Badgers proceeded to watch Baylor have an uncontested layup and then turned it over when they got the ball.

UPDATE:

They do nothing on offense and settle for a long 2 miss and then give up a rim shattering one handed dunk.

Gard getting nothing out of his team after timeouts and have run bland offensive plays. Baylor has stellar defense...but jeez.

I'm ok with this for 2 reasons.

1. Never have to watch Brad Davison again.

2. Can't stand listening to Xena in the stands.

Don't be so sure you have seen the last of Davison. He is the one guy I could see not wanting to hang it up.

Are any of the Badgers seniors coming back for their extra year?
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I'll pay for his ticket back to Minnesota.

Not a bad showing by the Badgers. Had about four shots to cut it within 5 or so and just couldn't get a shot to fall.

Baylor shot it well and really challenged UW on drives. Just way more talent and better shooters overall. We'll see what offseason brings in terms of roster decisions. Davis is the real deal. I wouldn't be shocked if a lot of these guys come back. It's been such a weird two-year stretch, but a lot of that's going to depend on program planning and program politics. Two questions moving forward:

1) How good is that class of 2020?

2) Will UW hit the transfer market a little harder this year? I know they got Potter, but that's really not been a part of their style. I think that's probably one thing that'll have to change a bit to keep up.

I see a wide range of potential outcomes for the 2021-2021 Badgers. We'll know more in July, I guess, but this could be a title contender if everyone comes back, or basically a brand new blank slate.

Yes, I came here too, wondering if there is any talk of guys coming back. I'm guessing Trice and Potter may leave, and may try to pursue some pro ball over seas? I'm assuming they don't have a place in the NBA, but could be wrong on that. It seems Ruevers may be gone, he made a comment earlier this year saying something like "what am I supposed to do, get a 3rd major?" I totally could see Davison coming back. Not sure what I think of that, but in the long run it's probably better with him on the team. Needs to figure out how to finish a shot in inside the lane!

I agree, Davis is really really good. I think he relies on his mid range jumper a lot. When he figures out how to finish more around the hoop, look out. Also, I don't think he has fully understood how athletic he is, and what he can actually do at this level. I can see him dunking on a lot of people in the coming years.

I'll miss this group. Didn't realize I would that much until yesterday after the game.

I thought they played well in the 2nd half. There were 3 or 4 turnovers on really poor decisions and 2 or 3 mental lapses on defense in the first half and that more or less cost them the game.

I am looking forward to having a couple of true point guards in the program over the next 4 years. The "Trice dribble in place 30 feet from the hoop for 8 seconds" play was infuriating.

For next year, you've got Wahl and in addition to Davis, they'll have Bowman, Crowl, and Carlson from the 2020 class. I think Bowman and Carlson would have gotten minutes had they both been available and Crowl got a few min in the tourney. Apparently, they like how he's progressed.

The 2021 class is really good so I assume a few of those guys will get minutes.

Then you've got Hedstrom (meh), Jordan Davis (who I thought looked like a really nice shooter in the few games I saw him play) and Carter Gilmore (walk on from Hartland who had offers from some decent teams) who could see minutes.

To me it looks like they lack shooters so it wouldn't surprise me if Davison stuck around.

The Badgers shot well enough to win, but they sent Baylor to the line twice as much as they did while also having 14 turnovers compared to 4. But that is Baylor for you...when they are firing on all cylinders not many teams are going to have a chance to win. They are probably the only team one can look at and really think could beat Gonzaga, even if Gonzaga was having a good game.

A lot of those free throws were in the last 2 min when UW was fouling to stop the clock.

Jordan McCabe transferring from West Virginia. Could fill a Trevor Anderson type role, but doesn’t help the lack of athleticism.

I hope not. Too small. Not a good shooter. They weren't interested in him the first time, I don't think he has improved his profile in the last three years.

Sounds like Davison will not be returning either.

They have an odd hole at PG. You have Chucky and Bowman I guess, both who have never played in a college game. You would think they would almost have to pick up a transfer PG with some experience. Even if Anderson stays, he's not a starting PG in the Big 10, he just gets over whelmed physically if he had to handle the ball for 30+ minutes.

If seniors come back and play next year, is it on their own dime? If forced to pay to play, I can see why the Badgers seniors are probably gone. Scholarships can’t cover them all, right? There are freshmen coming in.

No information on this?
