Davison is en fuego

Is Davison NBA material? At 6'4", he kind of reminds me of DDV - 3pt shooter, hustle, defense, rebounding.

Granted, he seems to stink whenever I see him, but if he is shooting 38% three-pointers this year...

Nah. Dante is a 2x the athlete

They are probably done after this weekend but I enjoy 1 vs 8/9 matchups a lot. You have nothing at all to lose and if you pull off the upset you are riding with confidence in a region that just got a lot more winnable.

Well, this game sucked.

The game didn't... the power blue did. :tongue

So a whole season of losses with me watching is finally paid back with a big win! I hesitated watching, but this was the first game they won with me watching.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting a 1st rounder (like DDV), but whether he makes it as late 2nd or an UDFA. 3point shooters in the NBA are a bit like left-handed pitchers in the MLB.

I could see Potter getting a look.

Dear god no. He will not make money playing basketball after his time with the Badgers is over.

Highly doubtful on Potter. He may be a look in Europe but that's about it. The only NBA potential on the team is Johnny Davis.

One and done.

+1. Short of a covid outbreak on gameday.

These aged well.

(As a proud alumnus, I can give receipts.)

Reverse jynx?

After the game against Iowa just wasn't feeling this team at all.

I'd think Trice has a legit shot. He isn't huge but certainly looks like a player otherwise.

he's a tweener. he'd have to rally 8morive his three point shot that's the reason I think Potter gets a look. He's tall and can shoot the three.

Same here. Although I was working when it was live so watched the dvr, if that counts. Perhaps I’ve finally unlocked the secret. I almost feel obligated to do it again on Sunday.

I'm going to type this quietly but I think the Badgers matchup pretty well with Baylor.

This was the first game of the year I watched in it's entirety....normally I watch most, this year, I was busier and just didn't get a chance.

Makes me wonder what all this talk about the Badgers not being able to shoot comes from!

Wow. When you shoot, you win.

With North Texas winning, the Badgers are a patented, gutty 9 over 1 win away from facing either wounded Villanova or a one-bid school for a shot at the Elite 8.

Yup, exactly why a tourney run is always easily possible regardless of how good you are.

2018 is a good example. Kansas State made the Elite 8. Why? Because UMBC knocked off the number one seed. How did Loyola Chicago ever make a Final Four? Because they never had to face a #1 or #2 seed. They faced that #9 seed Kansas State in the Elite 8. The highest seed they faced before the Final Four loss was a #3 Tennessee team. The tournament is more about luck of the draw and facing teams that are good match ups for you.

Wisconsin already had, what I thought was, a bad bracket. Now the #4 seed and #2 seed are gone. The #5 seed really isn’t that good and the #3 looked shaky in their opening game. Good chance that #3 seed won’t make the Elite 8.

They won’t avoid Baylor, but as homer mentioned they match up well. The only concern there is I feel the Badgers end up giving way too many open three attempts at times. The Iowa game in the Big Ten tourney they would have been absolutely destroyed had Iowa been hitting even a slight amount of all the open three attempts they were given. You can’t let Baylor have easy three attempts. I still don’t think Baylor is what it was earlier in the season though, easily beatable, and easily the worst #1 seed in the tourney.

There's a guy on Baylor named Flo Thamba which is at least a 2nd team All Name, name
