Due to COVID-19, Vandy was out of kickers. Bring on the first female player in Power-5 football history.

I guess that is one way to try and make some relevance out of a zero win season.

I thought it was a neat thing, till I saw the highlights. She was kicking FG in warm ups from the 5 yard line and barely making it over the crossbar. I can kick that far. I know a few players from the USWNT have kicked 40+ yarders. A girl who actually had a good leg would’ve been cool. This was 100% PR stunt.

If an undefeated Ohio State doesn’t make the CFP - that’s on the Big Ten, right? In hindsight, the decision to postpone the season due to COVID concerns only to resume 2 months later (as the pandemic worsened) looks really silly.

It's on Ohio State. They got what they wanted.

But like I said, that's not going to happen. They will find another opponent.

If the Big Ten and Pac-12 had stuck with their original plan, there could have been a slate of bowl games (which have all canceled now) and a Rose Bowl with fans in attendance in late spring. Kind of nuts how much revenue they threw away over desperation to play against all evidence and logic.

Michigan Ohio State game canceled. Ohio State now can't make the Big 10 title game unless the Big 10 changes the rules which they will.

Or another Big 10 game gets cancelled so the other impacted team & tOSU can play one another....

So part of me just laughs and laughs at this because it is Michigan and Ohio State; and I have no love lost for either one of them.

But there is part of me that says... Ohio State clearly deserves to play in the Big 10 championship. But I don't say that too loudly.

Yeah they do but it's fun to see their mongoloid fanbase squirm for a few days.

Indiana football shut down this afternoon due to COVID. I think we can all guess what happens next....

Make a Big 10 All-Star team from all the teams excluding Ohio State....put the All-Star team in Michigan uniforms...and have an Ohio State/Michigan Big 10 Championship Game.

Is it sad I'm not sure who wins this hypothetical matchup?

Guessing it is being changed because the best team in the Big Ten is ineligible to play and that makes zero sense. It was a unanimous decision. If Wisconsin was undefeated in conference play and primed to be in the playoff they would have made this change for them too. Unfortunately Wisconsin was nowhere near a good enough team to make that an option for them.

I’d like to see the CFP committee snub Ohio State as punishment for the Big Ten’s waffling. I was fine with their decision to move the season to the Spring (disappointed, sure), but then to change their mind 2 months later as the pandemic worsened? That just reeks of hypocrisy.

Just realize that if a Big 10 team makes the playoffs, there is a large chunk of $$ that goes back to the conference for splitting among the conference schools. If OSU is snubbed by the CFP commitee, WI will lose $$...

In a year greatly impacted by COVID (for example limited to no fans in the stands), schools are looking for every dime possible..
