Game 10 recap: Milwaukee UCC 11, Brewerfan.net 6

[Jimbo]

A short-handed Brewerfan crew took on the second place Church Team and gave them all they could handle. After falling behind 5-0, the netters rally to take a one-run lead behind radman's blast to left and Rightomac's team record fourth of the season. However, the opponenets mount two-out rallies to pull away at the end.

 

I apologize for my sombrero tonight, with two coming with RISP. On the other hand, I thought I did OK on the mound with no walks and no hard hit balls.

 

The chance exisits this was my last game, hence the reason I dressed up in my fancy navy blue uni - I wanted to go out in style. I had a blast playing with guys and am grateful you gave this old fart a chance to get out and play some ball. This is a great group with great chemistry!

I wish I would have been able to play. Unfortunately though, in an accident at work I got racked up pretty good. Sorta tough to play with my upper body bruised a cracked rib and my right elbow out of whack.

I'll be ready for an inter-team game against Madison though.

There is no way AJAY should have an error. It was right to me, but I misjudged the catch. Besides, if I hadn't made a high throw to 3rd we would have gotten him. It should be a 2B and a two base throwing error by Robin19.

Something caused the guy to take off from second to third, so that's an error there. Then he went from third to home on the throwing error.

 

If it's deemed he would have been out easily at third, then no error on the play going to third and my runs are unearned. However, I hadn't ruled that any other play this season.

With deference to Robin19, I think the runner would have been nailed at third. I saw it pretty clearly from left; I think his assessment was right on.
