Slugging and OBP question

Past Member
I'm not reallly into the stats of players besides the basic average, home runs, and runs batted in. My question is, just like the average everyone wants to be at or above is .300 what is the ".300" for on base percentage and slugging percentage. Just curious. Help me out please BF.net nation.

Here are the current league averages:

AL (BA/OBP/SLG)

.269/.334/.427

NL

.263/.331/.417

To have a top-20 OBP (among qualifiers), a players OBP needs to be .390 or higher. To have a top-20 SLG (among qualifiers), a players SLG needs to be .541 or higher.
