It is disappointing to say the least. I’d rather of seen Arcia batting cleanup.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

This lineup is embarrassing. Doesn't mean they can't win but as I have said before the falloff from where we were two years ago to today in talent is the kind of thing not seen since the Marlins won and then cleaned house and started rebuilding. Except we are not rebuilding. Sad.

So a guy who wasn't good enough to play for us during the regular season is batting clean-up in a playoff elimination game. That is asinine, and just adds to the many ridiculous decisions our manger has made this year.

I hate this season, just really hate it!

I hope I am really wrong and he goes off tonight, but this is stupid...

This is exactly right. He isn’t good enough to be on the roster all season, but becomes a cleanup hitter in an elimination game? Yikes....

Hopefully the Brewers pull off a miraculous victory tonight, but this lineup would have a tough time scoring runs against a AAA squad. I expect major roster turnover once again this offseason.

The guys on the roster all season haven't been good enough to be on the roster all season.

I expect major roster turnover once again this offseason.

Narvaez, Nottingham, Pina, Gyorko, Hiura, Arcia, Urias, Yelich, Cain, Garcia, Gamel, Taylor is twelve position players.

Burnes, Woodruff, Houser, Lindblom, Lauer, Suter, Yardley, Peralta, Topa, Rasmussen, Williams, Hader is twelve pitchers.

I'd guess around 20 of those guys will be on the 2021 opening day roster.

Would you consider 6 new players major roster turnover, or do you expect there to be more?

I’m not that up in arms over Healy batting 4th as the DH because he probably has as much power as any other right handed option. In a game like this you have to hope a couple of batters get into one. It feels like one of those games where whoever hits more home runs will win it. I assume if Kershaw leaves the game that Vogelbach may slide into the 4th spot.

That’s a really good point, and doesn’t even include Vogelbach on the list. I think they’re in greater need of a couple of key additions than a roster overhaul.

I expect there to be quite a bit more than that. I forgot about Cain honestly and would view him as an addition lol. But outside of that, I could see Arcia and Gamel as being solid options to be moved. Narvaez is a tough call as I don’t think they will give up on him after a poor shortened season, but he’s a guy to keep an eye on. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like Hader used to acquire a young bat +.

Garcia is a guy who could also be shopped to try to clear his salary. Whether anyone would want him at his salary, who knows. He might be a guy you package with another MLB player to move him or he is included as a piece in a large trade.

Imagine being a 17-year old who just spent your summer taking competitive at bats alongside and off of guys 8-12 years older than you. You wrap up summer camp and head out. You return home, turn on your TV and some of the dudes you just competed against for a couple of months are now going through Dodgers hitters in the playoffs (Topa) as well as starting in a playoff elimination game (Healy and Taylor).

That seems wild to me, but it’s the reality for the youngest player to be included on any team’s 60-man player pool this year, Hedbert Perez.

Avisail Garcia says he just made an adjustment in working with the hitting coaches to move his feet closer together in his stance and credits that adjustment for his three hits last night.

Add Bauer to the pitching and it's all good. Gotta find an everyday first basemen. Aguilar and Thames is one thing but I hate platoons. Find a bopper who can bring some juice. Hope Urias gets healthy and can play short and you should be in the mix.

Counsell didn’t rule out the possibility of Braun being able to pinch hit tonight, but said he’s “very limited”. Braun having a Kirk Gibson moment at Dodger Stadium in possibly the last year of his career would certainly be a storybook moment.

Just like last night, the Padres and Cardinals are going to go on forever and now I don't know which channel and scheduled programs I'll need to record. Got screwed by that last night.

You'd think, at some point, they'd learn that 3 hours isn't enough for a playoff baseball game. Just schedule it ESPN2. I don't get it.
