2020-09-30 (NL Wild Card Series): Brewers (Suter) at Dodgers (Buehler) [Brewers lose, 4-2 -- Suter’s early struggles prove too much for offense to overcome; Yardley and Topa combine on solid effort out of bullpen]

Eye Black
Suter's quick pitches and junk ball stuff works against the absolute trash lineups the NL Central has. Not working against an actual good lineup, though.

A large part of the reason I didn't want Suter in there to start.

He needs to be pulled ASAP

Who exactly would you have started. Suter is better than Houser and Lindblom and those are pretty much the only other choices.

Either of them would have been better choices. Since Houser pitched that last game of the season, Lindblom is the best choice.

Well Brent Suter (and Eric Yardley) have given up the same amount of runs that Max Scherzer did through the first 2 innings of last year’s NL Wild Card game, and that turned out okay for Scherzer’s squad.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

Suter is fine. He just was terrible tonight. He was the choice given the situation. Is what it is as it’s more than likely it wouldn’t matter anyways. I’ll be shocked in we score more than 2 runs.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Suter is a bullpen change of pace guy. When he's the guy you are ready for he doesn't have enough stuff. It's tough but I probably would have given Houser the shot. If he can put it together he could give you five. Not saying it's right but was not a fan of the Suter decision.
