2020-09-30 (NL Wild Card Series): Brewers (Suter) at Dodgers (Buehler) [Brewers lose, 4-2 -- Suter’s early struggles prove too much for offense to overcome; Yardley and Topa combine on solid effort out of bullpen]

Two thoughts:

1) this is the first year where Yelich's bad defensive metrics make sense to me.

2) there may be some advantage in throwing Topa and Rasmussen given that the Dodgers haven't seen them.

He's been brutal in the field. Has a rag arm. He better hit.

I was advocating they pitch Lauer, who owned this lineup last year. He didn't even make the roster. Shows how much I know.

i don't think eric lauer is with the team right now. here's why.

Thanks for the research. That is odd. All I can figure is that he's either injured, or they feel he has no confidence left. He's a guy that needs to live in Arizona at the pitching lab this offseason. He's young and has the talent to be in the rotation next year.

He did throw Narvaez under the bus under the bus after his first start versus the Reds. I’m starting to wonder if there is more than performance related issues in the equation. Obviously just total speculation on my part, and very possibly unwarranted.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Via Mike Vassallo...

All-time franchise leaders in postseason homers:

Prince Fielder - 4

Orlando Arcia - 4

Paul Molitor - 3

Ted Simmons - 3

Whoa. That is all.

And it was his second Postseason 2-run HR off of Walker Buehler (other was Game 3 of 2018 NLCS). Arcia has hit safely in all 11 Postseason games he’s batted in.

Not just “at Night” anymore.
