Say what we want about the season, Vogelbach has been a blessing. I was one who originally made fun of the signing. Seemed like we just dropped crap to sign some more.

Happy to be wrong!

I sort of implied this yesterday, but I might be okay woth spending like 10 mil total to keep Braun for a DH year. He's gotta be worth 1.5 WAR, right?

I'd rather spend the 10 million on him than Garcia...

I'm happy to get a full year of Narvaez next year, probably in a platoon with Pina. Unlike Avi who has kind of been up and down throughout his career, Narvaez has been a consistent producer every year as a hitter and has really improved his defense this year. This is an aberration.

Big knock by Braun just as I tune in.

Turning a game of this importance on in the 4th sums up the season. I care because it’s the Brewers, but just don’t feel invested.

That's exactly how I feel. I can't even be mad about missing the playoffs because I just don't like barely any of these blue light special pickups and frankly, they don't deserve it.

I wasn't expecting much either. He's been a very pleasant surprise. Happy to have him back next year as well. He has a solid approach at the plate for the most part. Even if the DH isn't a thing in the NL next year, I hope they bring him back as a platoon 1B.

I hear ya, but his swing just looks like he is doomed. Unless he makes some HUGE changes in his swing in the off season, I have no faith in him at all. I'd be happy to turn the page on his time in Milwaukee.

Narvaez can take a long walk off a short cliff.

I haven’t done it yet, but at some point I plan to go back and watch some of his at bats with the Mariners. I know he’s always been a low exit velocity hitter, but I can’t imagine the amount of upper cut in his swing was as severe as it’s been this year. I’m hoping he uses the offseason to make some swing adjustments and at some point his 2020 becomes a distinct memory.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Agreed. In my opinion it would be idiotic to give up on a guy that has shown that kind of ML bat after 60 games. You give him until mid-year next year before cutting bait. His defense has been better than advertised at least this year.

It's really odd to hear the announcers keep praising STL for overcoming adversity without bringing up the Marlins once.

In their case, adversity = stupidity.

They have gotten what they deserve, but the sad thing is, their competition has had to pay the price for their stupidity as well.

Screw the Cardinals, now and forever.

I'm good with a salary dump trade on Garcia. Give the spot to Taylor. Braun could still play out there sparingly.

We'll be leading the charge on keeping the DH considering Vogelbach is also under team control.

I’d hope Braun comes back to get after hit #2000 as he is about 40 short right now. Covid robbed us of that fun milestone.

I'd be absolutely thrilled with this. I doubt anyone would take him. Even a salary dump.

I’ve said this before, but I would love to know Gyorko actual unedited thoughts when Hiura makes those type of throws from 40 feet away.

So he Steve sax or chuck knoblauch

Not Knoblauch level yet, but probably approaching Dan Uggla territory.

Not just “at Night” anymore.
