I don’t know if it’s a conditioning issue but definitely trying to figure out why Woody starts wearing down around the 4th-5th inning. It’s been such an oddball season, maybe he got out of synch with being stretched out. Hopefully it’s corrected by next year because it caps his upside this year.

Lineup is posted. Sure would be nice to get Garcia out of that lead off spot, but I guess we have no other real options.

So unimpressed with Garcia all season. Just a blah type player with no power and no other outstanding skills. Waste of 20 million for certain.

He’s also still getting on base at a reasonable clip and the average is one of the better ones. Not saying much but his low slugging doesn’t kill you at the top.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Looks like the telecast will not be on Fox for at least a half hour while this marathon college football game drags on.

Have to see if it will be on FS1 of FS2.

ETA: Looks like in Milwaukee we will be switched to the Brewers.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Avi's been great in the leadoff spot. He might end up with the top OBP on the team. I expected a bit more power but otherwise he's basically been as advertised.

If Stearns expected a .680ish ops and a negative bWAR I'd be pretty shocked. What advertisements were you looking at?

A bit more power?! His longball numbers would have projected for 5 HR over a full sesson.
