From last IGT:

I thought Rasmussen would have been a great choice with a string of righties coming up and a comfy 3 run lead. The bizarre thing is that you know if we had gotten a 4th run, Hader would have sat down. I don't know when Counsell turned into Dusty Baker.

If we had Burnes or Woodruff coming up for Game 2 I could have understood it, but not Lindblom.

I do think Counsell is overall a good manager, but almost every move he has made this year is different than the way I would have done it.

Anyway, hope it won't matter, but it's going to be tough with no Hader, no Williams, no Peralta. Hopefully we can score some runs.

Agree with all of this

Can one wonder on Hader's usage on the fact he is a Super2? By making him the 9th inning save pitcher, he's no longer that 3IP unique RP that should get PAID. He's now your everyday vanilla closer. Predicting his future Arbs now has a history to base the increases on.

He will make way more in arbitration being a vanilla closer getting saves.

They’re getting upset about walking Wieters, but how many hits did he get against the Brewers last week? The bottom line is not that he gave up a walk, but that he is getting hammered when he throws anything near the plate.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Just another one of our awful offseason additions. Its bad enough that we signed this guy but we gave him three years.

Atleast we paid him 9 mil over 3 years. García gets more than that in 1.

Garcia reminds me of Santana. They both look as if they would rather be doing anything else besides playing baseball. These guys are the anti Carlos Gomez who you could always tell loved playing.

Just when this team starts to give you hope, they stab you in the eye. Every time.

Yep. It’s been a torturous season, that’s for sure.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
