2020-09-25, Game 1: Cardinals (Flaherty) at Brewers (Suter) [Brewers win, 3-0 -- Excellent start from Suter; Williams and Hader finish it off]

Without looking, I'd guess Jack Flaherty's ERA against the Brewers is 412.22

 

When it comes to the Brewers, Flaherty just isn't ready for the bright lights it seems...

 

It's a shame the Brewers aren't pouring it on...

I was pretty close.

Williams for 3. Save hader for 3 for game 2. Let’s get weird!

 

I like this idea a lot (although I'm thinking 2 for Hader), but they have used him for more than 3 outs a total of 1 time this year (and that was only 4 outs).

 

They've decided he's a closer, sadly.

If we can keep it at a 3 run lead or better I'd try to save Hader for Game 2. I know you take wins where you can get them but they really do need a sweep to get back into good position.

 

Go to Rasmussen (or Yardley if he can go) if Williams can't go 3.

Yeah they do have to look at this as a situation where they have to do whatever they need to do to win both.

 

Sucky day to not have Peralta.
