I'm definitely not a bunt all the time guy but considering all the factors that was a prime spot for it. Urias isn't hitting and the guy on the mound has an era under two. It would be huge to take the lead for once. I just don't get it.

The next guy struck out. The following guy had a soft liner. Run still doesn’t score.

If all he needed was to put a ball in play instead of getting a hit it changes the ab. That goes without saying.

Does it? I’m not so sure on that.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Burnes outing tonight reminds me of many Gallardo outings. Expected to dominate. Would throw 100 pitches in 5 innings and let up a run or two.

That’s a really good (and accurate) comparison.

Totally...

This is a great comparison for sure.

Gallardo was my least favorite, good pitcher. Seemed like 0-2 on every batter, followed by 3-2 to all of those batters. His nibbling got real annoying.

Wow. Yes. The Fowler AB is exactly a Yo start. 0-2 goes full then loses him.

Yep ... fly ball on the first pitch of the inning, then loses the next guy after getting up 0-2. Gallardo was so known for that. Going back further, that was a Ricky Bones habit as well.

So far this home plate ump has been solid on the ball/strike calls. That definitely seems like a rarity this year.

Edit: Literally the second I hit submit he calls Braun for a strike on a pitch well outside the strike zone. LOL.

And another missed strike on Carlson.

Burnes isn’t ready for the bright lights it seems.

ridiculous statement.

I’ll stand by it.
