Apparently, the Texans want a 2nd round pick for Fuller. I wouldn't go that high.

Yea, not for a half year rental.

The compensatory pick formula is complicated, but wouldn't he most likely bring them a 4th round pick if he leaves in FA? It could be as high as a 3rd, but I don't think that's a lock.

To save some salary you would think they'd be fine with taking a 3rd rounder back now that is higher than any comp pick.

Plus the pick would be in the 2021 draft, while a compensatory selection would come in 2022. Picks today are always more valuable than picks tomorrow.

I saw someone suggest Fuller + 4th for a GB 2nd and that I would do.

Somebody updated Will Fuller's Wikipedia page to say:

William Vincent Fuller V (born April 16, 1994) is an American football wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Texans in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Texans said no agreement prior to deadline.

Gute might as well look at the long game in 2 years of trading Rodgers for a king's ransom while you still can. It's clear he isn't willing to take many risks to surround Rodgers with a championship team in his later years.

This team is going about as far as they usually do and no further. It's silly to limit yourself to moves that give you a division championship type ceiling when you have an older but still HOF level QB.

Giving up a 2nd would be nuts for a rental. Glad they didn’t do it. You can find so many quality players in the 2nd round.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

It didn't have to be Fuller or bust. There were many reasonable options that would have improved our outlook considerably.

I do agree there. Just wouldn’t of gone with a 2nd for Fuller.

DK Metcalf is looking good. Just sayin'.

For sure, but the Packers still hit on Elgton Jenkins in the second round of last year’s draft. Of the many questionable moves / non-moves this team has made in recent years, using a second round pick to draft a starting guard is not one of them.

Oh I agree, but if given the choice between Jenkins and Metcalf, I'd take the latter in the blink of an eye. Playmakers win championships, not interior lineman.

Then why haven't they done that? The jury is still out on Dillon, but Jenkins is the only second rounder 2015-2019 that has panned out, or at least looks like it.

I’m with you 100%. I’d trade Jenkins straight up for Metcalf in a heartbeat. But considering all the Packers’ second round flops since Adams in 2014 (Quinten Rollins, Jason Spriggs, Josh Jones, and Josh Jackson), I’m giddy about hitting on Jenkins.

Kris Barnes is the one who tested positive, but no symptoms.

I'm curious when Martin and Williams might be able to come back. The NFL rules are pretty vague when it comes to those exposed to someone with COVID, but no positive test themselves.

Half way through the season, the Packers are surrendering 111 rushing yards per game, 12th fewest. NFL average is 119 yards per game.

Yards per attempt against the Packers is 4.5 compared to a league average of 4.4 yards per attempt.

The seven teams remaining on the schedule rank 4th (TEN), 15th (PHI), 18th (CAR), 25th (IND), 29th (DET), 30th (JAX) & 31st (CHI) in rushing yards per game currently.

Yards per game is probably skewed as a result of leading for the large majority of the time. I'm guessing the teams that lead the league in rushing yards allowed are bad teams, where opponents don't have to throw much in the 2nd half.

The second part is mildly surprising. I would have guessed that the yards per attempt would be much worse than .1 behind league average.

I heard 5 days with continued tests.
