We have to put our best lineup on the field, and if that means the Dan Vogelbach 1B experience, so be it. Gyorko can easily shift back over to 3B. Urias and Arcia can share SS.

Speaking of Williams......I could see why this would be a difficult combination to deal with as a hitter...

Don’t think they trust Vogelbach at first.......Geryko has saved quite a few errors the last couple of games......just don’t see them putting a bad first baseman over there in the last week of the season.

You are probably right. That unfortunately takes one of the team's best current bats out of the lineup for every game, though.

So the Royals aren't exactly the 27 Yankees (11th in the AL in OPS), but that was some pitching tonight. 9 innings, four singles, no walks, 15 Ks.

 

Also, a pitcher the Brewers drafted and developed is being seriously mentioned as a CY candidate. Another, as ROY. Still another was listed among the 50 highest in trade value a few weeks ago. There's a lot about 2020 that stinks, but that is pretty cool.

Matheny was pretty impressed with Burnes..........so glad Brewers didn’t give up on him.......with his stuff there us no reason for him not to be good......but credit to him and the staff for making the adjustments they did ......
