When this team misses the playoffs blame it on how they played against teams like the Pirates and maybe now the Royals.

It really seems that, especially this year, there are 5 excellent teams, 5 terrible teams, and roughly 20 mediocre teams. It's a bummer being on the mediocre pile.

I don’t think being in the mediocre pile is necessarily so bad, but being near the bottom of the mediocre pile is.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I just hate the thought of this many teams making the playoffs every year. MLB was the one sport where the regular season meant something and they are just cheapening it to the point of it being ridiculous

There's very little difference between the teams on the mediocre pile. The Reds, Cardinals and Brewers might as well be the same team. The ones who get hot in the next week will make the playoffs, only I fear to be cannon fodder for the Dodgers.

I don't think it's so bad. In essence, a few more teams get to play a few more games before going on vacation. The top teams will still, for the most part, be the teams that win the Series.

I give credit to Braun for trying to play through something. Had two hits while doing it. Just completely sucks his body won’t let him play consistently anymore.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

okay, I've defended Ed Sedar a long time but that was terrible. Tag, go...if the throw is headed home then fine retreat back to third. but the throw was to 3rd....so...just kinda jog home for the score.
