Add him in with the Jake Arrietta and Alex Cobb's of the world. So many fans want a splash and so often the splash soaks your organization so much it drowns.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

He’s pitching hurt. The really good ones, like him, don’t typically lose it over night at 30 years old. Just last year he was a horse for a Giants. 34 starts averaging 6+ innings per start, 8.8 k/9 and a k:bb ratio of 4:1.

That being said, given he got 5 years/85 million in also glad he’s not a brewer at that price.

Guy's who've been ridden hard for a decade fall pretty quickly. His last two years in SF, while still really good, were not up to the standards of the rest of his career. I don't think he's done being a useful pitcher but he's probably a mid rotation guy with some occasional flashes of dominance from here on out.
