When is it time to worry about Christian Yelich?

Warning Track Power
Not much more to the question outside of the subject title. I can’t for the life of me remember an amazing superstar like Christian Yelich, in the prime of his career, look as lost as he currently does now. Does anyone else remember another superstar in their prime going through a slump as bad as this one? Is it time to be concerned this, or something close to it, is the new Yelich?

Cody Bellinger is hitting .218 with a .715 OPS.

Javy Baez is hitting .203 with a .601 OPS.

JD Martinez is hitting .205 with a .648 OPS

There's a lot of dudes struggling this year.

Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant have also been terrible, while David freaking Bote looks like Carl Yastrzemski. 2020 is a weird, sucky year.

The ball isn’t juiced like it was in 2018 or 2019. Is that the issue? Is it just a small sample of stats? He’s walking a lot.

I think a big part of it has been that Hiura is struggling, and the rest of the team has been even worse than Hiura. It was different last year when Hiura was hitting, plus pitchers had to deal with Grandal and Moustakas, Aguillar in 2018, Thames when in a hot streak, etc... now, they can just pitch around Yelich. He isn’t being protected by anyone

He’s not being pitched around. He’s missing meatballs down the middle of the plate. It’s also not because the ball isn’t juiced. You’d have to make contact for that to be a factor. This season may be an anomaly for him but his horrible season is a huge reason this team will probably miss the post season. Not a great start for the man we just gave the richest contract in our history to. Disappointing to say the least.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
