So there's no possible way in a huge game that Williams or Hader could possibly pitch both heads of the double header? They really expect you to believe things that have been done for centuries are impossible today?

It’s a load of donkey pooh. One of those two should have been available for a situation just like this. Throwing chances away this season is what Counsell has been good at.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

These days starting pitchers who pitch an inning before a rain delay don’t come back out after. It’s about muscle recovery and injury prevention.

Rock was certain that both Hader and Williams were available for this because "they only pitched 1 inning in Game 1."

Really?!?! That’s ... not how it works.

It’s not unheard of for guys to pitch in both games of a DH, but they both also pitched on Friday and Saturday, so this makes it 3 games in 4 days. I assumed they wouldn’t be used in game 2.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
