I got Marquez Callaway in the 13th. I think this guy is gonna be a dude.

We did our Dynasty Rookie/FA draft on Saturday and Callaway went top 12...not rounds, 12th pick overall.

Ok I don't like him quite that much. :laughing :laughing

Anyone know of any potential diamonds in the rough that aren't likely to be much this year, but 2022+ could be valuable? My league lets us keep two players and you keep them in the round drafted (and it progressively gets into a lower round as years go on). I like to snag a long term piece at the end of the draft as I can keep them as a 15th rounder next year if they are worth it. For instance last year I drafted TJ Hockenson in the 15th and get to keep him as such this year.

I am considering just drafting J.K. Dobbins with my last pick. Something tells me no one in the league will think of drafting an IR guy for next year. The downside is he would fill my one injury slot for the entire year.

If you're looking at Dobbins you may want to look at Akers too. I think Trey Lance is going to be the next Mahomes and is probably going to be available late as well. I've seen him ranked as a top 10 QB this year so it's not like he's some chump for 2021 either.

I’m not a big Fantasy guy (I rage quit 5 years ago after leading my league in points scored, but missing the cut for a 6-team playoff on the basis of W-L record). However, one of my colleagues named his team ‘Cooper Troopers’ because he drafted both Cooper Kupp and Amari Cooper. I thought that was pretty clever and worth sharing. Great movie.

Good luck to you All.

If your league's playoff spots were based on overall record, what induced your rage? A good portion of fantasy success is always based on luck. Sometimes you have it, sometimes you don't.

I had fielded a middling team for years, but the stars were aligning for me in this particular season. My top guys stayed healthy and I hit on some late round picks. The only problem was I’d either win by 40 or lose by 5.

I didn’t have a rage episode or anything like that. It just became more frustrating than fun. I decided I didn’t want to spend Sundays grumbling at my phone. When my son gets a little older, I wouldn’t mind managing a team together (or competing against him), provided the interest is there. For now, I’m content just watching.

* Edit: I saved a screen shot of the final standings. I finished 6-7 with the most points scored, but with the second most points against (in a 12-team league).

I personally love the pick!! I had AJ very high on my board. AJ is crazy efficient with his targets. Both WR are in run heavy offenses. I don't think Julio will stay healthy. And outside of Brown and Julio, there isn't a ton there. I don't hate Jefferson, but Brown is in a higher tier for me.

I had a similar thing happen a few years ago where I was leading scorer and ended up as the 7th seed, but I lost because the commish had head to head record set as the tiebreaker. :rolleyes :rolleyes

I didn't quit or even complain, but it was pretty annoying and to me is just a ridiculous tiebreaker to use in fantasy football.

Head to Head is annoying. I was 13 - 1 and led the league in points by a mile last year and lost in the championship game to the lowest seeded dude .

I agree H2H is far from perfect but I've played both formats and when it's a straight points league it's just not as fun. At least assuming you're in a league with friends that you can have fun trash talking with throughout the season. Main point is there are flaws both ways.

Finished up my draft, the one pick that I have buyers remorse on is taking brown over Jefferson in the 3rd? Just wondering if others would have done the same.

Love AJ Brown I would have went with him also. Honestly either way you go picking between those two guys there's really no wrong choice.

If you're worried about Julio cutting into Brown's production I really don't see that happening, Brown's a stud.

Agreed, can't go wrong. I actually got both this year in a SF Dynasty startup. Drafted Jefferson at 2.04 and traded Jeudy and a 2022 1st for AJB and Cousins.

I would never want to do a straight points league. Just boring. But straight points should be the primary playoff tiebreaker, not H2H.

Agree 100%. A H2H record for a tiebreaker is random nonsense, no draft skill involved. I'd rather flip a coin.

That's was a steal of a trade. Depending on how draft picks work in your league I guess. My dynasty league we only draft rookies, the rest is auction so I was looking at it that way. Rookie draft picks would be less valuable than if you could draft vets.

I drafted Brown as a rookie and signed him to a max 4 year contract. 2 years to go including this season. He basically costs me $6 against my cap. I also have Ridley on his final season for just under $9.

Yeah it's better than a season-long points thing. Just sucks that one lucky or unlucky week can screw up an otherwise perfect season.

Draft Kings must have changed how they value each player because it is extremely difficult so far this year to pick a good lineup in their cap games.

I think there are a lot of cheap receivers out there this week. Callaway, Elijah Moore, Rondale Moore....some decent low cost high ceiling guys if you do the big tournaments.

Maybe it’s an over reaction but I dropped Ronald Jones for Sony Michel. I did want to get a new RB incase Ekler can’t go.

Hines is on the waiver wire and considering dropping Stevenson from the pats for him. It’s not a ppr league though so his value isn’t that great.
