I have Kamara so maybe it doesn't matter what I do with Metcalf

was in OK shape going into last nights game but my opponent had Diggs and rode him to the title. oh well.

You don't have to tell me about Diggs. I suffered through him two weeks in a row and then got annihilated this week by Kamara. My opponents' combined score in the two week playoffs was 321.36. It seems every year I'm dead last in points against.

Thought I had a plumb matchup with the Chiefs. I had Hill and picked up Bell (because Robinson from Jax was out). Oh well. Lost by 8 as the other guy had Evans which pretty much negated Kamara.

I really went out of my comfort zone drafting this year and reached on the rookie RB's Gibson, Akers, and Dobbins figuring at least one of them would quickly be a lead back and be a high RB2 or better. Mixon was my first pick thinking the Bengals would lean on him hard with a rookie QB. Well Mixon was flat out bust before getting hurt which killed that strategy and I was streaming 2 different RB's every week because none of those rookies were anything until about week 10 when Gibson finally became the guy in Washington. I finished 10th out of 12 which is a little bit deceiving because I was 6th in points and outscored two teams that made the playoffs but this was probably my worst season ever. Irony of all ironies, all 3 of those backs finished the season on my roster and between them were my starters in weeks 15 and 16 in the meaningless consolation playoffs. That was of course after I had dropped Dobbins and Akers weeks earlier. I picked up Herbert after his first start, that's about the only good thing I did all season.

What is everyone’s 2021 fantasy resolution? Mine is to focus on tight end way earlier than In years past. I think there will be only 4 valuable tight ends - Kielce, kittle, Tonyan, Andrews. Got to get one early

Kelce is mountains ahead of all the others in terms of consistency. He's worth a 1st round pick. I think I'd wait if you don't get him. Maybe Kittle or Waller in the 3rd but it could be a crap shoot after.

I have not. All the DFS guys I follow on twitter talk about best ball. I have no idea what that is.

I haven’t done it but essentially you draft a whole team and then you’re done for the season. Each week, you automatically get the best points for the set positions. So if you have 2 WR starting positions in the league and you drafted 4, the two highest scorers that week would be plugged in to your lineup. I’m guessing it’s a running total vs head to head each week.

I'm really not very concerned about Dak. McCarthy is notoriously conservative when it comes to QB recovery and in the case of Dak they probably should be.

If they start sniffing around on Nick Foles or Gardner Minchew then I'll start to worry. They wouldn't be going into the season with Garrett Gilbert as their backup QB if they really thought they had any reason to question Dak's regular season availability.

It's not just the shoulder. He's coming off of a major injury and I doubt he'll ever return to the level of play he was at before.

Why? It was to his ankle, not his throwing arm. It was a bad injury, it wasn't Alex Smith bad. He had two surgeries and is by all accounts recovered. Plenty of QBs have suffered season ending knee/ankle/etc injuries and returned to play as normal.

I really doubt they would have given him 4 years and 160M if they weren't pretty confident in him going forward. They had every chance to walk away.

I have James Robinson in dynasty. With the huge JRob boost on the Etienne injury, should I try to ride the JRob wave this year or try to sell high? Might be able to land someone like Allen Robinson.

I would say it depends on your current RB situation since RBs are obviously not as deep a position group as WR but might not be a bad idea to sell high. Hearing a lot of reports suggesting Urban’s college playbook isn’t translating to the NFL well with his players. Allen Robinson also is in his franchise tag year, so have to think if Fields looks good he might stick around otherwise he’s probably off to a better QB situation next year given he hasn’t played with a good quarterback his entire career. Either way you get a solid WR2 with WR1 upside vs. James Robinson being a RB1 on a bad team this year, and a worse outlook for future years when Etienne is back.

Well the Jags did take Etienne even after Robinson's breakout last year so maybe sell high?

Yeah I've shopped him a little, but can't get the offers I'm looking for. I suppose going into the season with some RB depth isn't the worst thing. I'm not top heavy but fairly deep with Jacobs/Robinson/Montgomery/D Harris/Gus/Michel.
