Only 43. Colon cancer. Wow.

Get those colonoscopies guys. It's never too soon.

I had one this summer, it was a piece of cake. Even the prep wasn't as bad as everyone says. It wasn't a great deal of fun, but it surely wasn't a horrible experience.

If you're not at high risk, do Cologuard instead of a colonoscopy. Much easier to just poop in a bag and mail it in, and you're supporting the Wisconsin economy.

I would do that just for fun.

Reading that he died from colon cancer at that age really hit home for me. When I turned 30 I had to have emergency surgery due to a GI issue. They happened to also find a polyp in my colon which I later got removed and it turned out to be precancerous. I'm now on a schedule to get a colonoscopy every five years. Had it not been for this fluke issue and surgery it could very well have turned into cancer long before the time I would have gone in for a regular screening at 50 since I had no family history of colon cancer. Please get screened as soon as you can.
