Braun’s HR changed the entire feel of the game. Instead of a demoralizing failure to score after having runners on second and third with nobody out, suddenly it’s 4-0 and Burnes has a cushion and the rest of the offense loosens up.

Definitely the turning point. Piling on two-out RBIs have made the difference tonight.

Always nice to "pour it on" someone for a change...

If you're a 3TO fan you've really enjoyed this game so far. Through the first 6 innings the Brewer's offense has 10ks, 4 walks(+1hbp) and 3 homeruns. They have more true outcomes both reaching base and staying off it so far tonight.

I think we can end all conversations which includes Phelps as part of "the BIG 3." Someone send the memo to the booth.

I don't know if giving up a pretty meaningless solo shot with an 8-run lead is gonna make me lose a lot of faith in the guy.

Agree.......I’m perfectly fine with him as a set up guy.

He isn’t going to be perfect.

He's been shaky recently, not "big 3" material... That title was thrown on him too early imo.

Gave up the HR against these same Pirates last week. Gave up a run against the White Sox Aug. 3. That's it. Dude has been really good.

Tangential to tonight’s game, but news broke of Chadwick Boseman’s death due to colon cancer. He played Jackie Robinson in “42.”

Terrible news. Hell of an actor, and seems like a great guy to boot. Loved him in "42" and "Black Panther". Also a really underrated part of "Draft Day". RIP.

Drew Rasmussen is fun. He looks like a guy that could very well have a big future with the Brewers.

Think he has to play a part if Brewers make a post season run. He’s a power arm that few can match. I feel the exact same way with him as I did Corbin 2 years ago.

There are 148 relievers with at least 150 IP since 2016...

Phelps has an ERA- of 70 (same as Will Smith & Dellin Betances) to go with a FIP- of 79 (same as Adam Ottavino & Jeurys Familia).

Corey Knebel's ERA-/FIP- over that same time frame is 76/75.

Those five relievers with similar results to Phelps are making a lil under 50 million combined this year, compared to 1.25 million for David.

Sure, he's not in the same superhuman stratosphere as Devin or Hader at the moment, but by the numbers he is a legitimate late inning reliever.
