Per Tom H.

Among 30 MLB clubs, #Brewers rank 27th with 112 runs scored; 28th with .658 OPS; 28th with .294 OBP; 27th with .363 slugging pct.; 24th with 34 HRs.

How have there been worse teams offensively?! :laughing

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Any update on Pina? Kind of surprised a move hasn’t been announced. Tough to go into a game with one catcher.

Well, for starters, not all teams have played the same number of games. Two of the three teams that have scored fewer runs have also played fewer games. In terms of runs scored per game the Brewers are 29th, ahead of only the Rangers, who have also played 30 games and scored 4 fewer runs.

Two of the teams behind the Brewers in runs scored are the Cardinals, who have played only 22 games, and the Pirates, who have played 28 games and have just one run less than the Brewers. Based on how the Pirates seem to know what Brewers pitchers are throwing, they should be well ahead of the Brewers after this four game series.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Plus we're not even close to 29th or 30th in OPS! Even an average MLB offense is painful to watch these days.

League Average 2019 | 256/327/443 | 8.7 BB% | 22.4 K%

League Average 2020 | 243/321/416 | 9.3 BB% | 23.2 K%

The average game in 1988 took two hours, 45 minutes and gave you 57 balls in play and 11 strikeouts. The average game today takes 19 minutes longer and gives you 49 balls in play and 17 strikeouts.

Yes

Sounds like Pina is done for the season.

Another leader, gone. Missing Cain and Pina with this team makes it rough after you lose Thames, Grandal, and Moose all as veteran players.
